Prologue: Death Falls

The truth is humans are insatiable. They will never be satisfied with anything given to them. Even the purest of the human race were like that, the most holy and “humble”.

Don’t believe me? Here is an example. Let’s take a religious dope. One who claims to be humble, one who claims he is no more than another, one who believes in a higher place of value than the plane he already resides in. So humble yet happy to live in the shadow of his Lord, but believes and hopes that when his time is finished on this mortal plane, he or his obedient kind of said Lord should ascend into an eternal plane to be with their Lord?

Nothing humble about that, paint it however you want it, but the fact remains that humans will always want more. Ask any random human what they hope or expect death to be, and they will rarely say “Oh, I wish for it to simply end there”. They want more, they want to become intangible and eternal. Therefore, wouldn’t they want to be a God? Wouldn’t they be clearly craving to be something of ethereal power?

It was a greed that festered and disguised itself under the servitude of something made purely from word of mouth and the delusions and low self-esteem of what I like to call weak-minded people. Those people were meant to burn. All people were meant to burn.

I was meant to burn. I had planned to take every hypocritical and self-righteous human with me, but something stopped me. Someone… stopped me. Her beauty enchanted me, rendering me into nothing but a primitive man, a love-stricken human. I detested it, but not her. I wanted her, needed her, craved her… but even so, as ambivalent as I believed myself to be, as omniscient a creature I was, this human girl bewitched me and I could not bring myself to directly approach her, not one as nihilistic as her, not one as intimidating as her.

Now I stood in the distance, nothing but skull, darkness and cloak wanting nothing more than this human woman, dreading the day I would have to harvest her soul, dreading the day I would have to consume her to nothing… She deserved eternal life, and I wish to grant her just that, even if it meant losing myself.
