Summary

With a last name like Valentine, falling in love should have been easy. We were supposed to live happily ever after. He wasn't supposed to [ literally ] forget about me. Colt and Vera have been gone for each other most of their lives. Meant to be, destined since birth. All that's missing is their long-awaited first kiss. Together with their friends, they navigate the complexities of friendship, family, love, and growing up. But when tragedy strikes, Colt wakes up missing crucial pieces of his memory. The parts that include his friends. The parts that include Vera, the girl who held his heart before he ever got the chance to tell her it was hers. Please Remember Me is a heartwarming and just mildly depressing tale of hardship and lost moments. But there's also humor and happy stuff, too. Changes, new beginnings, and a moody love story that's sure to turn your head and heart into a delicious puddle of confusion. Come get broken and put back together again. It'll be fun. ♡

Hi 👋🏻 No matter how you found me, thanks for stopping by.

I debated long and hard about posting this story because it's about as first draft as it gets. I haven't looked at the manuscript in a while and it needs a lot of work, but it was well loved over on the orange app. It even made the shortlist for the Watty's, so I feel like maybe it will grow in love here on Inkitt.

It gets a little complicated and it's pretty emotional. But it's one of my most favorite stories I've ever written, and it sprung a nice collection of sequels and spinoffs, which I hope to share down the line as well.

This is a nice, long one. 🤣 And I will warn you -- it's not polished to my preferred standard, some of it might drag on, and you may find some plot holes. Just step over those, please lol.

If you're here from Somewhere For Your Loneliness, this story is pretty different from that one. The characters are a bit younger, which might be a bit of a turn off for the new adult/adult crowd. But you know what -- this special group of teens is slightly more emotionally mature than Jesse and Cheyenne, and there's plenty of tension and angst to be had. 😂 It might just surprise ya, so I hope you'll give this one a try!
