Oliver Greyson’s POV
“Mr. Greyson, I know this must be hard for you to understand concerning your mother and her condition.” I sat there listening to the head of the facility here in Nevada with my new Alpha trying to give me his silent support seeing I am only eighteen years old and joining his pack for all runt wolves that are either orphaned or thrown out of there packs for their own protection.
“Oliver, instead of paying your mother’s medical bills, I will use the pack money I have set aside for all members of my pack to use as an allowance, and you can pay me instead half of the amount to keep your mother’s medical going here on pack grounds.” Alpha Franklin kindly told me giving me a soft somber look knowing this was hard for me to accept seeing how I was already paying for her medical back in Toronto at my old pack.
I looked at my new Alpha in the eyes trying to keep my emotions at bay knowing what he says is the truth and it would be better of me to accept the help than fighting against the world seeing I was the only one left for my mother’s well-being. I let out a heavy sigh giving him a wordless nod seeing how I do not speak anymore, only when I see it was truly necessary to speak.
“Good, Oliver. Doctor Knowles, begin the treatments and give Mrs. Greyson the VIP treatment.” Alpha Franklin ordered out motioning for me to follow him towards the youth pack house where I will start living with the other young wolves and runts like me living under the same roof.
“Oliver, I know this is all new to you and I understand how hard this must be for you since you came here, and I do hope you will find your place among the others here and if you wish to join the warrior wolves to help with your gifts than do so starting tomorrow at crack of dawn.” I gave Alpha Franklin a nod agreeing to the terms seeing how I was a warrior and tracker back at my old pack just like my father even though I was runt.
I followed right behind him keeping to myself not wanting to be around anyone right now seeing it will be a different change for me to start my new life in a different part of the world with a new Alpha to help keep this pack safe knowing how many other runts live here among the omegas and other regular pack wolves that hear by Alpha Franklin and his ranked members.
“Well, here we are. This will be your own small apartment to live in until we can figure something out or until you can find your mate.” I gave him a nod taking the small keys from his hands and walked into my new home.
I felt like my life was falling apart seeing how everything was being taken from me since my mother fell ill when I was only eight years old four years after my father’s disappearance. I grabbed what I packed to start putting it all away into my room seeing how I will need everything for tomorrows training with Head tracker Kane that Alpha Franklin informed me about earlier.
It took me a few hours to settle down and I quickly got a shower before I headed downstairs to join with other runts and see what I can deal with since I moved here, and I pray to moon goddess I do not deal with another bitchy she-wolf who thinks they are better than ever one else.
“Ollie, do you think our mate will want us even though we are male and have more feminine features.” I sighed hearing the weariness in my wolf Wynter’s voice knowing how scared and nervous we both are when it concerns our mate.
“Wynter, I don’t know what our mate will do or think, seeing how we are smaller than most runts and those we have been around.” I told my wolf hearing him sigh and laying down in my mind’s eye.
I walked into the kitchen to see a few omegas at work cooking in my baggy cargo pants, long sleeve black V-neck shirt hiding my slim muscular chest having my hair pulled back into a messy man bun along with my soft black socks seeing there was no point wearing shoes when it was home now.
“Oh, dear! You must be Oliver, Alpha explained to me that you will joining us.” I blinked slowly at the kind woman before me, and I softened my gaze seeing kind she was and she kind of reminded me of my mother.
“So, how does all this work?” I gently asked her to keep my voice soft knowing my voice a soft tenor towards most men I have met in my life, I am just glad I do not have a high pitch annoying voice.
“Oh, well my dear, whenever you feel the need to eat you can come down here and grab whatever you want or you can tell us and we can whip something up for you and before I forget my name is Daisy, I am the head omega.” I gave Daisy a nod with a small smile, knowing a few young wolves all walked in laughing at something and I rolled my eyes shaking my head.
I waved Daisy goodbye before I left the kitchen to head towards the back yard to get into some fresh air and before I knew what was going on I felt the similar tension when it comes to my gifts, and I quickly sent my Alpha a mind link before taking off after shifting into my wolf heading towards the east side of the pack borders.
“Alpha Franklin! I sense a few rogues coming towards the easy side of the pack borders, I am heading there now!”
“Oliver, I will send a few warriors towards your location, please be careful pup!” I grunted cutting off the pack link tackling one rogue and quickly taking them out before they could step any further into the pack territory.
I quickly dodge another rogue on my left flank knocking them back before I jumped onto them taking them down by breaking the hind leg and throwing them against the tree knocking them out. I growled in pain feeling one rogue swiping my right side and I jumped back shaking my fur out to gain some momentum before I attack the one who attacked me.
I quickly swiped my paw at their face taking them off guard before I snap my jaw around their throat tearing out their jugular killing them instantly and I stepped back snarling when I saw a few more rogues coming towards me.
I let my hackles rise in anger snarling with my teeth showing feeling Wynter start to heal me while we were waiting for back up to join us, I quickly doge the oncoming attacks taking them all out one at time seeing how they were more than what I had sensed before and I began to worry.
