At midnight, The yellow street lights flickered over the muddy road running in the middle of the dark forest. The night owls hoot midst the lone quietness.

A man with a blue shirt was running on the road holding a phone in his hands. *pickup, come on please pickup*

The dialler tone was playing from the phone. He prayed. He ran to the left of the road into the dense trees. Someone picked up the call.

“Hello... who is-”

“Who? What?” the receiver was taking time to make sense of the situation.

“Kartik? Hello...” The killer stood over Kartik’s body and shot the phone with the gun in his hands. He lifted Kartik’s head with his shoe to check if the bullet found its mark. it did. He dialled the number from his phone.

“The job is done. you will be pleased.” The killer smiled. “what would you do about the girl?”
