Always

Harry:

I sit in my office and smile at the new scenery. Thanks to my best friend I was able to exceed expectations in potions. I am now able to pursue the career I have been interested in for years. I work as a healer in multiple units and wards at St.Mungos. I sit at my desk and take a deep breath. This is a new start. There is no more war.

I walk down the hall of the male pregnancy unit checking on my favorite couple. I wave as I walk in. "Hullo Remus. Hullo Sirius." They wave at me and I smile. I sit down at the chair in front of the ultrasound sound machine. "So Sirius how is my little sister doing today?" He smiles at me and starts a whole rant. I laugh and smile seeing his excitement about their first born.

I hold my finger up stopping their rants as I hear someone call me through a patronus. I tell them I will be right back and take off through the wards to the potions and charms damage ward. I storm through room 12012. "What's the diagnosis?" I sit and listen to what they have to say and tend to my patient. I gasp. Severus?! I lean over him and rub diagnostics over him grimincing. "Everyone please leave. I have this case." They all nod at me and leave immediately. I'm the boy who lived. It has amazing perks.

I vanish my old professors tattered clothes and start applying burn salve all over his body. I feel my face heat up as I attempt to avoid looking at the areas down south. Just as I am getting down to his navel I feel his hand grasp my wrist. "Don't touch me." I look up at his now healed face before sighing. "Mr.Snape. I have to apply the salve to prevent scarring and help the healing process go faster." He looks at me and sneers. "Potter I said do not touch me. I do not want a bumbling babbling ignorant child treating me."

I feel the anger rise inside me and try and suppress it. "Mr.Snape. My name is Healer Black. Not Potter. Please use my correct name. And I am no longer a child. I exceeded expectations in my mastery and my classes. Please do not insult my intelligence." I maintain eye contact as his face switched from ignition to surprise to a blank expression. He waves his hand letting me know I can continue my job. I go back to my task with a crimson face that could challenge the Weasley genes. "Embarrassed Healer Black? Or just turned on by seeing your old professors intimate areas?"

I ignore his taunt and head to the sink on the other side of the room and wash my hands. "Mr.Snape. I am not embarrassed. I spend my time dealing with this often because if my profession. I am not ashamed of who I am. Please do not mock me. Your final diagnosis is to apply this cream three times a day to these places." I touch gloved fingers on his arms and abdomen. And as I do so I do not miss the shivers run down Severus's body. Before I have a chance hit move away I am pulled in front of Severus face. "Mr.Snape. This is highly-"

"Healer Black. I advise you to stop talking." He reaches forward and kisses my lips. I melt into the kiss softly moaning. Severus grabs my hips pulling me to him. His lips travels to my neck but stops once a knock has sounded at the door. I pull back and gasp. Dear gods. I cannot believe I just did that. And I enjoyed it as well. Now is not the time for self-interrogation. I take a deep breath and turn away from a smiling Severus Snape. "Mr.Snape. Please get dressed and ready for discharge." I turn away pulling the curtain closed for his privacy and walked to the door.

One of the nurses walks in with the prescriptions and stops in front of me. "Say... Healer Black?" I sigh. "Yes ma'am?" She walks closer to me as if inspecting me. "You look like you might be having an allergic reaction. Your lips are all swollen." I sigh hearing Severus snort from behind the curtain. "I shall do that. Please give Mr.Snape the medication and his discharge papers. I have other patients to attend to." By the time I arrive back at the Male Pregnancy ward I have a full on attitude. I see Sirius smirking once he sees me and my facial expression.

"So who did you just snog to come back looking like that?" Remus plucks his head and smiles at his husbands lack of filter. "No one Pops. Now to the ultrasound." Sirius snorts. "I know what a snogged out man looks like Harry. I see this one looking like it everyday." I facepalm while listening to Remus fuss at Sirius for him saying inappropriate things. Then Sirius looks and me and lowers his voice smirking. "Was it him? You snogged old snivilus?" My face turns a whole different shade of red confirming his suspicions. Sirius bursts out in laughter. "Son I should have known. You have had the hots for him since fourth year. Even though I can not see what you see in that greasy haired tosser." I look at Remus for help but he just smiles. "Okay back to the ultrasound dearest parents."

I walk to the hospital floo after I have finished all of my paperwork trying to head home. I sigh once I plop on my couch in utter exhaustion. I hear someone ringing my floo and curse. I just open it not caring who it is. I sit back down and watch as Poppy Pomfrey walks through my floo. I stand immediately. "Good afternoon madam. How may I assist you this evening? Would you like some tea?" She laughs. "Slow down Harry dear. I am here to talk buisness. So yes. Tea would be wonderful at the moment." I mentally curse myself and force a smile to my face. I summon the tea and pour it to our likings. "So what is it that you are in need of me madam?" She sighs. "I was hoping you could help me in the medical wing dear. I am hoping to retire soon. And I need someone to help me out until I can find another healer to take my spot. Will you help me?"
