Magical
"As a fervent fan of romance, I have pretty high expectations for the genre, especially when it comes to short stories. You hit all of the points. There were minimal cliches, the characters were extremely well developed, and overall everything was extremely professional and I could definitely see this story being published. Rhoswen and the settings were beautifully crafted and the images were vivid in my head. I really enjoyed your writing style, and while your plot is not very complex, it's simplicity is what captures the heart. That title too- how clever! Your story was everything I would want one of mine to be like, and I would love to read more of your works and learn from them. Overall, great job. Reading it was truly magical."
Great Read
"I felt this story could go on and make a marvelous novel, Well written, good story line great characters and I simply wanted to read more."
Lucky Break
"Besides from the gushing sentiments I thought the story moved well and made me feel good except when if anyone in today's climate goes to a sweet shop and stands out but he is a relative so he is welcome and everything is right for the couple and made for love? The bustling of the shops was well told and the lady in her nice clothes was well worth the loving looks but of course would she seek him out would she love him this kindly gentle man who deals in fish all day what about the smell? Dockyard and all that but of course she would deal with it how?"
"Lucky Break"
"K.J., I enjoyed the innocents of emerging young love,, at least the introduction of a boy meets a girl, story........Your writing skills are smooth and direct, inclusive with your characters regarding their interactions with one another, that carried your story to the end of chapter one..........with a young, successful man running back to work, late, but feeling lucky. Until they meet again...........good writing style and writing skills as well...."Thanks for the Memories" william elliott kern, Dead or Alive; https://www.inkitt.com/stories/fantasy/185550"

Great!
"I really enjoyed this - and I read it over my lunch break, oddly enough. Great characters, good dialogue and an interesting world. Loved it! Parlanchina xx"
Elegant in its simplicity
"Beautiful writing and voice that comes through in every description and character. It read just like a book with lots of character and great descriptions. The story is told with style and even if you're like me and not much for romance, it still grabs you hook, line, and sinker with fun characters that you'd like to meet and hang out with in real life. Great work!"
A wonderful story
"This was a wonderful story. The characters were well defined. The main character, Kentworth was sweet and kind. He had a child-like quality, but not overwhelmingly so. The world the author described was easy to envision, and the interactions between characters completely believable."
Who says fantasy needs dark lords and evil empires?
"I'll start off by mentioning that just like sci-fi wasn't your thing when you reviewed my story, romance isn't really my thing either (that one part of Strawberry notwithstanding), and especially not romance fantasy. That being said, you did a good job with immersing me in the story and I thought even where the dialogue was a little modern for my admittedly super conservative (in fantasy at least) tastes, nothing really broke the effect and it flowed well. As someone who doesn't spend much time at all in fantasy except for ASOIAF, where everything sucks and everybody dies, it's a little jarring in a nice way to see a setting that isn't inherently hostile and characters who have a chance to think about more than just not dying. The only thing I'd say in terms of critique is that it took a while to get where it was going and then just sorta ended. It feels like you put enough thought into the setting to warrant some more follow-through with the characters, but it's totally up to you. Speaking of that, I'm interested to see what else you come up with in the future in terms of new stories, so keep at it!"
So sweet!
"This was a really great story. I loved the main character with his quirky mannerisms and love for candy. All the characters were well-rounded and three-dimensional, and it's hard to do that in a short story like this. I especially liked the scene where Kensworth (I think that's his name?) was at the candy shop with all the little kids. It was so sweet! The dialogue in this was also really good. It flowed and felt very natural. I had a good feel of time and place from the beginning of this story, and the writing was very simple and descriptive. I loved it from beginning to end, and I really want to know what happens next. This writing is really great. I would definitely read more by this author. Great work!"
Cute!
"The pacing was good and the story flowed well. The world building was easy to see and digest. I liked how well the social class came through the characterization. And of course, the second half of the story is just heart-meltingly adorable."
Very awesome
"Lucky Break was an awesome story, and a very interesting read, I love the way you did the whole font change things it made it look really professional looking and I think that was great, I can totally see why you have people who recommend this story you are an awesome writer"
Interesting world forming
"Very dialogue strong, allowing the characters to form individual personalities. I was a little too aware of clothing decriptions, but other than that, smooth writing and the contrast between the dockworker and the businessmen added a distinctive class division in the society. It felt very natural that there are wood elves in the forest, My suspicion is that this is directed at a YA audience, but I'll have to keep an eye on the series and see how it develops."

"These two are so cute together! I'm really enjoying Kentworth's flaws and how they make him more relatable. I hope to see more short stories with Elise! She's so shy and softspoken; I want to see her open up and learn more about her.
And what, no kiss at the end? Ugh, make us wait why don't you...
"
Wonderful read!
"This was an amazing story which I really enjoyed reading! Your story was a great piece overall, and I can't wait to read more of your amazing stories! Keep up the wonderful work, and keep publishing your work, because it is fantastic!"
Colorful, wonderful!
"Definitely worth reading, my dear! Goodness I think I may be in love with Kentworth! He's just so sweet and lovable and so very cuddly I just can't help but gush about him! I guess I'm just like everybody else in the story. Everyone loves him. I'm actually jealous of Miss Lockwood. Is there a chance that you might make a longer story out of this? It's just so well written and the characters and places so well portrayed that I'm sure you can be a professional if you wanted to ( are you?). It's just great. Absolutely great. My only negative comment was that it should have been longer; I would have rooted for Kentworth if he had been involved in some sort of conflict. I wish I can write characters as engaging as yours."
