Burn Out

Today is August 19th and I'm going in my Thirds year at Hogwarts. I'm in a compartment with My brother (Harry), Hermione, and Ron. The only bad thing about Hogwarts is Draco Lucius Malfoy who is my rival, we always are trying to get a higher grade and last year he got better owls than me. So I'm ready to beat him this year. Another problem is that I'm in Slytherin so I always get asked if I'm a Potter or just faking which is not fun "Y/n are you ready for school this year" Hermione asks interrupting my thoughts.

"What did you say, Mione?" "I asked if you are ready for school this year" "Yeah I guess idk" "Y/n are you okay" my brother asked me "No but Hermione can I study with you" "Why I thought you hated my system of studying" "Y/n is this to beat Draco in school?" Ron asked and I said "No why would you say that" "Idk guys why would I say that it's not like you guys compare grades" "Or maybe the fact you guys argue every day and he beat you by .1 in the owls" Hermione added and Harry nodded his head "Ok yes it is but I just need to beat him this year." "Ok'll help you" Hermione said "Thank you mione you are an angel" I said and hugged her.

The train stopped and I told them I would be right there and I was trying to find my bf Seamus. We had been dating since year 1. He was very sweet and always waited on the bus for me. I went to our usual meet-up spot yet it wasn't him I found and I saw Draco "What are you doing here Malfoy" "Nothing just talking to Finnigan" That was weird. I knew for a fact he hated my boyfriend especially since he was in Gryffindor and I was in Slytherin and in Draco's eyes that betraying the name."Why" I spat back at him as I looked at his knuckles with blood all over them and his nose had blood too "We got into a fight but be careful with him he's no good"

"Says you and where is he" "He told me not to tell you" "No he didn't" "Yes he did" "That's not like him" I said out loud without realizing it "I know that it doesn't seem like him but it is like him because you don't know him as well as you think you do" "As if you would now any better your a Pureblood so why would you talk to a Half-blood" "Never said I talk to him just people talk and word travels fast" "Just shut up no one wants to her you yapping how you know MY boyfriend better than me" and with that I left him alone in the train heading towards Hogwarts. I saw Seamus waiting in the carriage with a bouget of flowers.

"Y/n where have you been" "I went to our normal meeting spot" "Oh shoot I forgot I'm so sorry" "It's ok" "Here are some flowers for you" "Oh my gosh thank you so much! I love you" "Love you too" This was odd he never said 'Love you too' he always added an I and whenever he didn't he was mad. Yet he got mad when I asked him about it so I kept quiet. We got to the castle and went to our tables. I sat next to Pansy and Astoria. "Where did you get the flowers?!" Pansy said a bit too loud that people looked at us including Draco. "Seamus got them for me" "They're really pretty" Astoria said admiring them "Do you want them" "Yes" they both said at the same time. I started laughing while they argued over who got them when Pansy said "Wait why don't you want them" "I don't like these flowers my favorites are Pink and White Daisies, Roses, Tulips, Baby Breaths, and Lavender"

"Oh, why didn't he get you those" Astoria said looking worried "Idk it's fine tho and you too can share I'll split it up so you both have flowers" "Thank you you're the best," they both said while hugging me and I hugged them back "Of course anything for my favorite people" After that Dumbledore stood up and said "SILENCE...GOOD THIS YEAR I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION THAT WE HAVE A NEW DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS TEACHER PLEASE WELCOME PROFESSOR REMUS LUPIN...AND FIRST YEARS PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE THIRD FLOOR IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN UNLESS YOU WISH A MOST PAINLESS DEATH AND NEVER GO IN THE FORBIDDEN FOREST WITHOUT A TEACHER...LET THE FEAST BEGIN" and the food appeared and we ate.

I went to Pansy, Astoria, and I's dorm and checked my laptop and saw a random number texted me a minute ago. It said 'Check your window' I made sure no one was watching me and since Pansy and Astoria were getting books I went to the window. I saw a bouget of flowers with Dr.Pepper, Watermelon Sour Patch Kids, and a ring with an emerald green ring with my initials engraved in it. I found a note and it didn't say who it was from but it said 'Since your boyfriend couldn't get you what you wanted here is this for you. I hope you like it. The ring is real and it will look gorgeous on you.'

I wonder who it's from...wait it's not from Seameus maybe I shouldn't keep it. My thoughts got interrupted when Pansy and Astoria came in with a gift bag and ran to me saying "Open this" "Okay!" I opened it to find books I had told them I wanted but the Dursleys wouldn't get me. It was 'Things We Never Got Over, Things We Hide From The Light, Things We Left Behind, Icebreaker, The Un-Honeymooners, Punk 57, Twisted Love, Twisted Hate, Twisted Games, Twisted Lies, This Summer Will Be Different, and Fangirl Down' “Thank you guys so much” "Don't thank us" Pansy said "Thank the person who got you those flowers" Astoria said "Do you know who" "No Blaise said someone wanted to give these books to you and the flowers were from them too" I was flabbergasted. I mean who would want to give me all of this? I needed to figure this out quick.
