Hi there! I’m Madison Routledge and this is the Outerbanks paradise on earth, the type of place where you either have 2 jobs or 2 houses 2 tribes 1 island, okay so let me explain there are two sides of the island so there is the rich, snotty people we call them the kooks then people on the cut (like me) are the pouges let me introduce you to my crew
Over here is jj maybank my best friend since the first grade and the best surfer I know just don’t tell him I said that, he goofy and close to me i know him better than anyone he lives with me and john b because his dad is abusive i don’t like when he goes home or thinks about going home he is 17
Then there is my brother john booker Routledge or as we call him John b he made this crew first it was just john b, me, and jj we did everything together and we still do john b treats me like I am younger which I am but im more mature (that’s the biggest lie iv ever said) john b is 17
Oh and look theres pope, the brains of the operation he is the kindest person you’ll ever meet and maybe the smartest He is a bit weird when he talks to girls but we love him he is 16
Then there is Kiara or kie as we call her she is a kook (I know right!) but she is a pouge by heart her parents own the Wreck a big restaurant that attracts tourists so they keep busy
And then there’s me like i said I am Madison Routledge daughter of Big John sister of John B. I have big beef with Kooks ever since I dated rafe Cameron then things went downhill i have been in so many fights ever since you know more later in the story so lets get to it
“Finally I can rest,” John B says lying on the couch
“Fat ass” I mumble under my breath while carrying the groceries in
Jj laughs “that’s not very nice Maddie”
“What did she say”
“Nothing and jj dont act like your nice either”
“She called you a fat ass,” he says I push him
“Go to your room Madison” john b says firmly
“Okay Dad!” I say closing my door
“Hey wait what about me” JJ says trying to unlock my door
“Jj leave her alone,” John B says unloading the groceries
I sit on my bed and read my not-kid-friendly book while jj is still banging on the door
“Go away jay”
“Let me in” he whines i unlock the door but he doesn’t know that
“No”“I’m going to bust down the door so move away from it,” he says backing up I go to the door so I can open it
“Ok”
“1….2….3” he runs towards the door and once I hear his footsteps close enough I open the door and he comes falling on the floor
“Ow” he moans
“Suck it up buttercup”
