"I loved this story. It combined a tense plot which kept me guessing till the end, with great wisdom. It is also very funny. I especially loved the cutting of the toe nails and all the other horrendous tasks the heroine had to endure and the wit and humour of the dialogue. The fantasy world I found both familiar and different. To me it felt like Regency England combined with fairytale roots like Grimm's fairytales. An interesting combination I have not read before. All in all I look forward to reading a lot more by this author."

"This is such an amazing story. I'm glad Lord Caitiff and Leda, as well as Alex and Felicity, found happiness. They fall in love even though they are faced with unusual circumstances. They each have challenges in their own life as well as with each other. I love how the author weaved everyone and everything together. A few times I was wondering how things could possibly turn out for the best but this author worked her own magic to bring it all together in the end. Such a beautiful ending. Suspenseful and enchanting
"Absolutely swept up in the world-building and the storytelling - the characters are well fleshed out, and the ones that are still veiled in mystery leave you intrigued, compelled to read more. It tugs at your heartstrings in the best way, as you hope that the siblings will make it through the year and a day to repossess the hummingbird that means so much to them. It reminds me of the best aspects of "A Series of Unfortunate Events", and I look forward to reading more! "

"A lot of things, and so far, not quote knotting all together... I would wish the story plot to be more tracable and not so wide spread .. but it still keeps my interest...I hope thst all will come together in last chapter or two, like in the last series of throne games."
