Summary

When Science plays God, you get humans patented by corporations. Iodite, known also as Specimen53, would know all about that. Created through Genetic Engineering and born from an artificial womb, Iodite, along with her fellow Elementals, are made from two things: The Periodic Table of Elements, and artificial human DNA. Their creator, and subsequent owner? GenTech. But creating superhuman entities comes with a cost: The government labels you a machine, the company rival HATES you, and Iodite has no idea if she is human or not. She feels human, but the powers she possess says otherwise. The people working for NOVA also say otherwise, and are willing to kill to keep their beliefs alive. Elemental explores the idea of what might happen when science is taken over by companies, and human lives can be made or destroyed with a single order from Head Office. What happens when Science plays God? You get human entities. And when those humans realise the machine they're part of? You get war.
