Premise:
After two days of living their normal lives during a pandemic, four families find themselves entangled in government corruption and are forced to make difficult decisions to ensure their survival.
Improved summary:
On November 18th, the United States was hit by a surge, a catastrophic event that plunged the country into chaos. Disease, bloodshed, and corruption spread rapidly amid their normal lives. In a world ruled by science and tyranny, the survivors must navigate a new reality where the rules of society no longer apply. The event has raised questions about the role of science in society and the dangers of unchecked power.

Each chapter is 2.8k-3.4k words long (my goal is 3k each)
I still put my best effort into it and always accept feedback.
Also, this is a little slow burnish, but if you don’t mind crime, seeing how they were before they fell, you might like it. It extended longer than I hoped for.
Chapter 10 will be the start of the apocalypse but if you like romance, crime, or drama you might like it.
