Chapter 1
Luna was getting ready for her job, at the age of nineteen she had finished high school and now was raising funds for college. She tied back her brunette hair, and her ocean-green eyes stuck out.
She wore her uniform, stared at herself in the mirror, and was ready for work. The night started slowly, as usual.
Their guests usually arrived at eight in the evening, and they were prominent guests. That was one reason she loved the job. The tips were amazing.
Guests arrived, and there were so many whispers that she wondered why there was a different aura.
“Luna, go serve that table.”
She could see that the other waiters were looking at her with a bit of fear. Before she could ask, she was set off with champagne.
When she got to the table, she realized that the champagne she carried was the most expensive one, and that was more than what she would make in a year.
The men at the table did not acknowledge her. This is how it usually was. Luna turned slightly and tried to open the bottle, but the cock would not budge.
She pulled it and finally got it, but the champagne slipped from her hand and shattered. Luna froze in fear, and her manager was instantly by her side. She looked down and wanted to throw up at the thought of having to replace the bottle. How long would that take her?
“Apologies, we will give you a new bottle on the house.”
Luna knew this must be the most important client they ever had, as they never gave out the most expensive bottle on the house.
“A new waitress is coming to serve you.” The manager carried on as he turned,
“No need.” The gentleman with the deep, commanding voice responded.
Luna shuddered in fear when she heard how cold his voice came out.
“Let her finish serving us.”
The manager did not argue and Luna felt as if she was going to vomit,
“Of course. Luna, go get a new bottle, and make sure to serve them well this time.”
When Luna came back, she noticed that someone had already cleaned the mess. She could see that everyone felt nervous for her, so she steadied her shaking hands and opened the bottle, pouring champagne for everyone.
She could feel the gaze of the man who had said she should carry on serving them, eyes boring on her, as she tried to still her heartbeat.
“I need to smoke. Bring an ashtray.”
“Yes, Sir.”
Luna practically flew and came back, “This way, sir.”
She led him outside to the smoking area, and it was a VIP area, it was secluded. She started to slip back inside,
“Stand here. I haven’t dismissed you yet.”
Luna froze, “Of course, Sir.”
“Ace.”
“Sorry?” her voice quivered.
“I go by Ace.”
She did not respond.
“Look up.”
Luna slowly lifted her head and her eyes widened when she made eye contact with him.
His jet-black hair and dark eyes stood out, along with tattoos that covered his body except for his face. He was very handsome, but that was overpowered by how he looked dangerous.
“You interest me.”
Luna felt a shock wave of fear through her, “I am not interes”
“Shut the fuck up. I do not give a shit as to what you think. It will not change a thing.”
Luna stood there not saying a word as he had told her to shut up.
“How long have you been working for?”
“A year.”
“Do you have a boyfriend?”
“No.”
“So you don’t date?”
“I do. I have someone I like.”
At her words, Ace turned, and he now was looking at her fully, which was making her squirm badly, and she shuffled her feet.
“You liking someone will have to stop.”
Luna felt shocked when he said it so casually.
“Did you hear me?”
Luna nodded. What else could she say? She hoped that this would be the last time that she would have to see this man.
He was everything that she did not want in a man. She wondered how long she would have to wait here. He was smoking and staring at her.
When he finally finished, they headed back inside. The manager motioned for her to come and Luna went.
“What did you talk about? Is he upset with you?”
“No, he was just asking general questions.”
“You better have answered properly Luna.”
“I did.”
“You may go back out and make sure to give them anything they need.”
Luna went out, and she was counting down the time that she would have to finish and go home.
“Why is he looking at you like that?”
Luna knew whom they spoke about but she did not want to entertain him further so she looked everywhere but him.
Rude but exciting!!!!
If someone said that to me that’d be the last time I let him speak to me lol…. I hope his attitude changes. I really do t like when guys talk to women like that. I’ll keep reading g to see where it goes.
