Prologue
“It’s funny how things don’t turn out the way you thought they would,” I muse out loud to Jesus as we lounge on the beach. It’s also amusing to me that we’re so casual as we talk about the craziest six years of my life. There are so many stories about hunting down and fighting demons that it’d take almost as long to talk about as it did for it to happen.
“I don’t experience that,” Jesus says with a wink.
I grin. “I guess You wouldn’t,” I agree with a chuckle.
“It’s just one of the results of omniscience.”
I stare at the waves. “I know I’m technically outside of time right now, but do You really want me to tell every story about the demons I faced?”
Jesus ponders the question for a moment. “Why don’t you fast forward? Move on to the last few major encounters. Those are the most important ones that lead up to where you are now.”
I nod. “Yeah. It’s interesting to find out something thought to be mythological is actually real, only not in a way anyone would think.”
