Bayanihan

In a small town, where a few people live, one of them is JJ and his family. This town is poor but rich in nature's gift. Their resources were from their mother nature, too. The people in this town are just like one family: loving, caring, and helping each other. Every day, they woke up early before the golden rays of the sun even came out. JJ and his friends started farming their plants, hoping they would grow for food. The other workers prefer hunting wild animals outside the town and through the forest. While others are fishing and gathering fruits from the tall trees.

One night, JJ woke up because of the heavy rain. "The rain outside was dropping through the roof," JJ whispers to himself. He slowly gets up and silently goes outside. JJ was shocked seeing the rocks and soil start to fall to their houses. "Hey!!! Wake up!!!" JJ alerted everyone about the landslide. The people work together to move their houses away from the nearby mountains. Some people are lucky because their houses are not near mountains. After moving the other houses, they gather together inside a stone-made house to have a meeting. "This rain is not ordinary; I think there's a typhoon coming." The leader said. Because of this, they quickly gather some food and prepare the things they need before the rain gets even worse.

The rain started to get worse, just like they predicted, it was a typhoon. They just woke up seeing the trees falling to the ground where they planted, their house being half destroyed, and the other people being ill and sick. Thankfully, the rain didn't go on longer and worse; the rain suddenly stopped. After a few weeks, the people are hungry, and the food they've collected before helps them not to starve for a few days. Other children and adults were ill because they had nothing to cure them. The trees from which they get the fruits were dying, and their tools to catch fish were destroyed. JJ was a bit ill and was still weak, and couldn't work.

After a few days, JJ volunteered to go outside their town and find someone who could help them. Even though his strength was still not coming back, he needed to do this. The people support him and give him a few foods to survive."This food is from the sick people; if I didn't find medicine or food, they would starve to death; I need to make this worth it." JJ said to himself. JJ walked a straight line so he didn't los. He ate his lunch and walked again. He walked and walked until a starry night came. He sleeps with a campfire on his side. He wakes up again and continues walking. At the end of that day, he eats his food and sees that there is only one more left for tomorrow. He makes a campfire and sleeps. The sun rises peacefully until he finds out that his last food is gone. He saw some footsteps of an animal. "No, my last food, it is gone," JJ said to himself. He started losing hope and was ready to give up. He started to think if he would walk further or go back to his town that might still have food.

JJ was ready to give up and go back to his town when suddenly he heard cars honking on the street and smoke from the factory. He finds a place with huge, colorless buildings. While he was walking, he completely forgot he was hungry. He quickly asks some people for help, but no one cares. "Sir, help me, please; my friends and family need food and medicines; they are starving and very sick," JJ said to the man. "Who even are you? Work alone, your problems, your solutions!" The man angrily said. JJ wondered and noticed that the people here work alone, live alone, and die alone. Because of this, he's hope was slowly fading away until a young girl asked JJ. "Do you need any help?" The young girl asked. "Yes, I am kind of new here; how can I find some food, drinks, and medicines? My family and friends need them," JJ said to her. "I'm sorry, but you need to find a job to get some money, and to buy some things you need." My name is Coleen, what about you?" Coleen asked. "My name is John Joseph, JJ for short; nice to meet you, Coleen!" JJ said to Coleen. "Nice meeting you too," Coleen said.

JJ cannot find a job because he is from another place that has no school. He didn't go to school and didn't graduate. When suddenly, he finds a poster of a job that doesn't require anything. This job was farming, one of the things he was good at. On the first day, he finally got a pure green 200 pesos. Every day, he plants and waters them. After a couple of days, he quickly bought the things he needed, worrying about his friends and family. JJ was ready to go back to his town with food, drinks, and medicines. While he was walking away from the city, someone shouted, "Help!!!"

JJ looked back and was in a hurry to help someone who was in danger.

JJ hears again that familiar voice and that familiar voice is from Coleen. JJ saw an enemy ready to kill her with a sharp sword. JJ ran as fast as he could and punched the enemy directly to the head. JJ's working and farming skills gave him strength for the past years, making him his punch to knock out the enemy.JJ and Coleen both rush to find a way to escape the enemy. "JJ, thank you for saving me, your more than a hero!" Coleen thanked. Coleen tells JJ that the enemy is planning an attack on their city. " Coleen, we must tell it to them, but will they believe that enemies are coming?" JJ said. They both say to the people living in the city that enemies are coming. Nobody believed them, until they saw a giant ship coming towards them, their eyes couldn't believe it. Everyone was panicking, but JJ knew how to stop them. "We must do Bayanihan to stop them," JJ shouted. "What? I thought Bayanihan was just lifting a house from one place to another." A guy said. "No, it's not just about lifting houses, it's about the spirit of working together because together, we're stronger. "JJ said to the people. The other people supported him, and Coleen was one of them. JJ taught them how to work together.

The Naval and Military work together to surround the ship with friendly vessels to prevent escaping. Even though their weapons and vehicles are not that advanced, they still believe that they can stop the enemies. After that, the enemy's ship couldn't escape. The people thought that it was done, but the enemy jumped off the ship and swam. The enemy wanted the people to be dead and its money to be them. The people work together to build a trap, and some people are hidden through the trees ready to knock some enemies out. With the help of the police, they easily capture the enemies.

Coleen and the people thanked JJ. "John Joseph, thank you!" Coleen thankfully said. "It's nothing. The real reason why we stop them is by our teamwork!" JJ said.

"Yeah, you're right, but we will never know the spirit of Bayanihan without you!"The guy said. A loud applause can be heard, people shouting JJ's name and people clapping. "I'm sorry, but I need to go back to my town and help them!" JJ said to the people. " We are willing to help you and your town," the people said.

JJ, Coleen, and the people work together to bring the food, drinks, and medicines to the town as fast as they can. The people from the town were surprised that the things they needed had arrived. JJ's friends and family thanked him. The ill and sick people were given medicines safely by the doctor from the city. Houses are built again with the teamwork of the construction workers. Supplies are given by the people from the city.

After that, the town folks thanked the city people for helping them. The leader of the town invited the city people to come and celebrate the return of the hero who recovered their town. JJ invited Coleen, to come. "Coleen, would you come to our town?" JJ asked. "Of course, I will; why wouldn't I come?" Coleen said. JJ and Coleen walk together to go to the town to celebrate. The people saw the sunset together, as it was proof that the ending can be beautiful and the end is where it is. The End.
