1. Collecting

Wendy and I get a call to New York Universityarwa again. This will be our third time trying to solve another missing adult student missing from there. The mothers of Shelby Mach (19) and Crystal Craig (20) came into our police station requesting the police department send officers to their apartments and to find any clue where they are. This isn't the first time we will be going to this campus to investigate the disappearance of two beautiful young 19 year and a 20 year well known, well liked family well off financially. This is the first two girls who fit this category. The other was on some sort of scholarship for having good grades, loans to help pay for college whose mother is struggling single parent and foster young lady who worked hard to get admitted to NYU. The only common thread is that they are female between the ages of 17-22. Joanne Mabel was 20.5 years old and was a communication major who was on full academic scholarship raised by a single mother, Becky Mabel. She was found overdose on cocaine administered by Bill Clifton. Charlotte Mills was 18 years old and a sociology major. She was found in the women's shower hung by her own stockings the following day by a fellow gal who was going to take a shower after she jogged 23 miles around the campus for pure exercise to keep the weight off. She was a pudgy gal who lost over 146 pounds and now only weighed 133 lbs. She was killed by her former girlfriend, Cassandra Jenkins out of pure jealousy. She was a former foster child who worked her ass off and saved her money to attend NYU. Before she was killed, she worked as a nanny. Rhonda Steck was 21 and a music major. She was a very talented violinist who played in the New York Symphony in the first chair, which was rare for her age. She was on a partial scholarship and was found raped iabd in her tub witb her curling iron plugged into an electric socket in her apartment not far from the campus. This case three years ago was never solved and is now a closed case.

" Mrs Denise Mach and Mrs. Vivian Craig. I am detective Cameron Salas and this is my partner detective, Wendy Starks. Our desk Sargent asked us to come down to see you two mothers and see what we can do to help you."

" Detective Salas and I have been working on missing university women from NYU. We can only hope and pray your daughters are alive. Has their been any ransom note or call from anyone who might want them dead or money? We also need recent photo than what is on their student ID. I promise I will make a copy and return it to you."

I used my cellphone to take few pictures of each so we can put a missing report, posters and for a white board in our office to add clues surrounding the photos. I handed the photos back to their mothers. My partner ascertain that these two gals have been best friends since third grade. They do a lot together and have a few friends that are different.

Cameron gets a lot of information, and then I ask additional questions. I receive my answers. We spoke with both their mothers close to an hour. We stayed in their shared campus apartment for an additional two hours and removed some evidence to help get the answers we needed to solve these questions we had. We say we will be in touch and then leave. Cameron leaves back to the precinct. I drive to a restaurant to pick our late lunch.
