Introduction
Hello there, readers! This is: The Vintage Quartet: Roads to L.A.
What happens when a band of flaws goes on a wild adventure to L.A. to boost their career...From hilarious mishaps and unfolding secrets to heartfelt moments and changing faces, this is a road trip they won’t forget.
The story is about four friends and co-founders of the Vintage Quartet, a band name based on their love for retro music and popular tunes in the twentieth century. Daniel, who’s shy and doubtful. Richard, the optimistic light bulb. Chuck, the bundle of joy and energy, and Mattie, the disorganized but kind everyman. They find their semi-suburban life pretty boring. Before their rise to internet fame, life for the Vintage Quartet was an endless cycle of rehearsals, dead-end gigs, and daydreams about making it big.
Once they record themselves making a song, the video goes viral. Later, they find a letter saying they have a chance to perform in a theater in front of many people. Upon reading the letter, the Vintage Quartet are excited about the opportunity. However, it’s been weeks since Richard checked his mailbox, and unfortunately, the letter’s been sitting in there the entire time. It’s a challenge to get to L.A., and the Vintage Quartet are racing against time.
It won’t be a road trip filled with fun and games for these four bandmates; they’ll have to go through personal disagreements, find their inner and outer selves, and face their challengers. It’s not an easy task. Will they make it, or be crushed under all the possibilities? As they scramble to make it in time, one question lingers: Who saw their video and believed in them enough to offer this chance? Read to find out.
Stay tuned and see for yourself. (Chapters will be released on Saturdays. So mark your calendars! The first chapter starts on February 15, 2025! )

Age: 27 (June 18, 1997) Fun Fact: Daniel is left-handed.
Co-founder of the Vintage Quartet. Daniel is pessimistic and shy. He can be kind and helpful sometimes, but it constantly gets overshadowed by his negative traits. He has a great friendship with the rest of the Vintage Quartet (Especially Richard and Mattie) and has some nice bonds with the rest of the cast. If they make it to L.A. on time, Daniel hopes that the opportunity will help him shape into a person he looks up to (Richard).

If they make it to L.A. on time, Chuck hopes the opportunity will allow him to fix past relationships accidentally damaged along the way.

Age: 27 (July 7, 1997) Fun Fact: Mattie is the only member of the Vintage Quartet to have brown hair, all the other members have black hair.
Co-founder of the Vintage Quartet. Mattie is kind, helpful, and a bit smart. However, he is also disorganized, and can unintentionally cause trouble. He has a great friendship with the rest of the Vintage Quartet (Especially Chuck and Daniel), and he also has some wholesome bonds with the rest of the cast. If they make it to L.A. on time, Mattie, like Daniel, hopes to shape himself into a better person.

Age: 25 (August 1, 1999) Fun Fact: Samantha is one of three characters in this story that has blonde hair.
Friend to the Vintage Quartet. Samantha is supportive, kind, and optimistic (just like her older brother). She has a great sibling bond with her brother, Richard. She has some great friendships with the Vintage Quartet, Ellie, and Angie. She is neutral/positive towards Cynthia.
Cynthia Slotto Wells
Age: 28 (October 31, 1996) Fun Fact: Cynthia has arachnophobia and ophidiophobia.
Friend/enemy to the Vintage Quartet. Cynthia can be critical and outspoken, but she can also be honest, caring, and secretive. However, her rude side is more prominent. She has a sibling rivalry towards Chuck and is fairly neutral towards everyone else.
Ellie Hahmperey
Age: 27 (April 30, 1997) Fun Fact: Ellie is one of two characters in the story to have glasses.

Age: 26 (September 12, 1998) Fun Fact: Angie secretly has blonde hair under her beanie.

Simon Spubser Jackey
Age: 29 (December 25, 1995) Fun Fact: Simon was originally supposed to be the fourth member of the Vintage Quartet. He would’ve replaced Mattie. The only reason why I didn’t make the change was because Walter had more potential for his bond with Simon than Mattie.
Friend to the Vintage Quartet. Simon can be urgent and serious, while at other times, he can be helpful and caring, but doesn’t take failing too kindly. He has a great friendship with Walter and is very neutral towards everyone else.
