This is UES NEWS Special Report:
“The situation of the Alitar Scandal has shocked both the financial market and the military of the United Earth Systems! Nothing of this scale has happened since the days of the Big Ten Oil Wars that nearly drew the world into the brink of World War IV! Maxim Corporation have decided to temporarily cease mining operations on the planet till UES Environmental Inspectors have complete their investigation whether to continue mining or cease indefinitely to avoid any catastrophe to the indigenous people and life on the planet! Furthermore, Jonathan Maxim (the son and heir of Maxim Corporation) has been recalled back to Earth to answer for what has happened! The military of the UES has made it official that Admiral Warwick is no longer in charge of the UES post on the planet and is hereby discharged from military service immediately due to both the lost of life for his personal financial endeavors and the destruction of UES property, including the frigate Roundgun! He and Jonathan Maxim are also charged with colluding and releasing dangerous criminals known as Nicholas and Kevin Westlock to pursue their personal endeavors! The only reports of these criminals that the fugitive Michael Weller had arrested are known very little to us! The only reports we, the press, have found out are Nicholas is some unknown being that came from outside our universe and has somehow taken the form of Michael before he became horribly disfigured due to radiation poisoning and Kevin Westlock has been considered dead ever since the fire at his parents home with only his sister, Natalie, as the sole survivor! She was later adopted by the Weller family and taken under their and Michael’s care till she had became a doctor and then killed by her own brother who revealed himself and for all this time had been working alongside of the space pirates that had been attacking cargo and civilian transports ever since! We asked government officials who and how these videos and documents were obtained for our viewing but have no comment and are now trying to expunge them from public viewing and reading! This then begs the question of Why are they doing this? What has our government have to hide? Only time will tell as we continue to pursue for the answers and now wonder Is there more illegal mining operations going on outside our world that are making deals with our own military or is this an isolated incident? Furthermore, is Michael Weller really a fugitive or did he knew about this and much more that is currently being held back from us? The Hornet streaked across space without any specified destination as the ship’s navigator looks on the scanner and analyzes each system that comes across their path and finds out if it supports life and if there are no UES personnel or ships stationed there and so far no success from either categories and as the ship continued on with June sitting in the command chair, looking bored. In Michael and Trudy’s quarters, Michael and Trudy laid in bed with each other’s arms wrapped around and facing each other as they both slept peacefully in each other’s embrace and a smile on each other’s faces when suddenly the whole room shook and Michael nearly fell off the bed while Trudy bolted upright to reveal a blindfold over her eyes (to help her sleep) that looked like the eyes and part of a face of a black cat. Pulling the blindfold off she looked around with wide eyes and yelped, “What is that?!” As she was removing the blindfold Michael already jumped out of the bed and pressed on the Speaker button and asked at the same time as Trudy spoke, “Bridge what the hell is going on?!” June replied loudly as the alarms began to sound, “Sir we have an unidentified mountain following us and firing! And for some reason we don’t see it on our sensors!” Michael and Trudy looked both surprised and puzzled at what June and suddenly the door to Natalie’s room opened and Natalie stumbled in both trying to hold the doorframe to keep from falling, as there was another shaky jolt and explosion sound, while also holding her golden like robe closed as she looked at Michael and Trudy with alarm and yelped, “Michael what’s going on?!” Michael replied, “We’re under attack! I advise you better get dressed and prepare your belongings and Infinity because we may have to leave in a hurry!” Natalie immediately turned back to her quarters and suddenly there was another jolt as the Hornet was struck again and Michael yelled, “Evasive maneuvers and get us out of Speed and prepare for battle!” When he signed off the he felt himself swaying on his feet by the ship maneuvering while in high Speed till it felt like either he or the ship itself adjusted itself from the tense maneuvering. Michael and Trudy immediately began to dress and Michael cursed himself as he fell hard on the floor as he tried to put his pants on and he yelled back from the floor and between the bed and his desk as the alarm continue to sound off all over the ship. Outside, a large ship (in a form of a mountain) flew behind and over the Hornet, as the ship tried to zig zag while in Speed, and fired bolts of red and black streaks while inside is pure darkness with the exception of a view screen, in a shape of a circle, showing the Hornet zig zagging below as red and black bolts flew at it and either struck the ship’s shields or missed and a disembodied voice made a deep laugh and said, “That’s right Michael. You can’t escape from me.” Suddenly the Hornet vanished and then the room turned dark red to reveal a figure on each side of the screen behind a control station and had six snake like creatures hovering over each side of the black armored, horned figures spines and they all hissed and stood erect (as the same as their owner’s) as Nicholas’s disembodied voice screamed, “WHAT? WHERE IS IT? WHERE’S THAT SHIP?!”
Away from the nearest space shipping and travel lanes, the Dull System sat peacefully with its single sun and two planets and one moon orbiting it with the only habitable planet, Fulon, orbited closest to its sun with its single moon when suddenly the Hornet appeared between Fulon and the second planet in the system in a hard right turn (nearly spinning out of control) and flew at Full Mach Speed behind Fulon’s moon that is closest to them, engulfing the Hornet in darkness with only its running and inside lights showing. The elevator doors opened and Michael and Trudy stepped out onto the bridge and June quickly stood up from the command chair as Michael took his seat and quickly pressed the button to turn off the wailing alarms and he asked, “Report?” And June answered, “We successfully pulled out of Speed and took position on the dark side of Fulon’s moon to avoid detection!” Michael looked at the screen to see part of the moon on one side of the screen and the planet Fulon on the other side and he asked, “Did you scan that planet ahead?” June replied, “Yes sir and there appears to be inhabited by colonists that are from Earth but chose to live a mixed lifestyle either late Medieval Times or the Wild West in the late 1800s appearance and lifestyle with some exceptions.” Trudy then asked, “Is there any UES bases or corporations we have to deal with again?” June quickly replied, “Absolutely not!” They watched the main screen and waited for either communications, navigation or anyone for detection of that mountain shaped ship for a few minutes that seemed like hours and Michael asked, “Anything from the scanners?” The navigator replied while looking at her screen, “Negative sir. Both short and long range detect nothing.” June spoke aloud, “Though that thing did appear out of nowhere and somehow masked itself from our sensors while in Speed.” They waited for a few more minutes in silence as Trudy stood by Michael’s left side and both she and he squeezed and held each other’s right or left hands as they watched, but when nothing happened Michael declared, “Well let’s take advantage of this.” He turned to June and ordered, “June, prepare to transfer command to Lt. Commander Gramin and prepare a shuttle for us, Natalie and Anna to leave and get down to the planet’s surface as soon as possible before that thing shows up.” June looked fearful and asked, “Sir do we really need to take that risk? And why only us?” Michael answered, “I believe that thing out there is probably the ship Nicholas was talking about and if we are not here there is no reason for him to attack this ship and risk us getting further away from him. Second we have no other choice. Either do it now and if we’re lucky we get to the surface and hide ourselves in time before it actually shows up or stay here and we most certainly be hunted down and killed.” June sighed, “Yes sir.” Michael then stood up and he and Trudy began heading towards the elevator as he continued to speak, “In the meantime we will begin packing up and prepare to leave as you finish up here commander!” When he and Trudy stepped back into the elevator, he turned to face June standing just outside and he said, “Good luck with your final duties commander.” June looked gloom and said, “Before I would be the only one to give orders to.” Michael and Trudy both smirked as they tried to hold back their laughter as the elevator doors closed and then began to move.
