Summary

At first glance, it’s a story about time travel, demon hunting, and immortal burdens, but at its heart, The Blood Wake Chronicles is about redemption, love, and identity in a world constantly unraveling. You’ll follow three deeply different souls: Charlotte, a runaway sharpshooter haunted by loss; Tsugaru, a silent assassin bound by a demon’s pact; and Graham, an immortal whose good intentions have started to twist into something darker. Each carries secrets. Each has blood on their hands. And each is walking a line between savior and destroyer. From the dusty canyons of the Wild West, to feudal Japan, to the burning cities of WWII Europe and the neon-lit slums of a cyberpunk future, this story blends genre-bending adventure with emotional intimacy. Every time jump is a new test. Every demon, a reflection of what they’re becoming. And at the core? A mystery about The Ruin. A future apocalypse caused by meddling with time and whether they’re stopping it... or causing it. If you’re into philosophical clashes, demon-slaying action, and characters wrestling with fate, this is a story that’s been crafted just for you.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

“Dust chokes the wind, a gray shroud draped over the shattered ribs of cities. Here, in the cradle of ashes, where hope lay in eternal slumber, I hear a different song. Not a lullaby, but a symphony of silence, bursting with possibility. And from that quiet canvas, you, my creations, blossomed, surpassing even my wildest dreams.”

“But dreams, for all their beauty, are fickle weavers. They twist and turn, morphing into nightmares in the blink of an eye. What began as a spark of inspiration now flickers with something unsettling, something alien. A darkness woven into your very fabric, a whisper of discord beneath your melody.”

“So now I stand at the precipice of dawn, the weight of a choice heavy on my soul. For in my desire to mend the broken world, I may have forged something too perfect, too beautiful to coexist with the scars of humanity. And thus, with a heart as heavy as the fallen stars, I must make the most terrible choice of all.”

“I must undo the masterpiece of this world, tear it all back down to nothingness. Not out of malice, but out of a twisted love. For sometimes, the only way to save the light is to snuff out the flame that threatens to consume it all.”
