Destination Of Revenge

Some things in life rot slowly, hidden beneath layers of routine and silence. But eventually, the stench rises—undeniable, choking. And when it does, we tear those things out by the roots, first thing in the morning, like weeds threatening to choke what little good remains.

I used to wish my thirst for revenge had died. I begged for it to wither, to leave me hollow and clean. Not because they didn’t deserve everything coming to them—they did, every last one of them—but because I knew the truth. Vengeance is a fire that doesn’t just burn the guilty. It devours the one who carries it. And I’ve been smoldering for years.

I had chances to walk away. Real chances. But every time I got close, I’d hear her—her voice, her screams. I couldn’t pretend anymore. I couldn’t unhear it. And so I stayed. I kept going. I kept getting pulled deeper in.

And now, it’s too late to change anything. I’ll carry this with me for the rest of my life. Every hour. Every breath.

The love I spent years looking for, the one thing I thought I finally found... It’s still here, technically. But it’s not alive anymore. It doesn’t speak. It doesn’t hold me the same. It just sits there between us—cold, ruined, unreachable.

And I can feel it dying inside me. In both of us.

So now here I am. Standing in front of the main door of Slasher MC.

And I know what I have to do.
