Summary

Kusum is a devoted housewife in a wealthy family, her identity completely submerged in the relentless cycle of chores and familial duties. Kamla is a maid, her beautiful singing voice silenced by a patriarchal, abusive husband, with her dreams pinned on her young daughter's future. From two different worlds, these women find themselves connected by a shared sense of being lost. Their chance meeting sparks an unlikely friendship and a daring idea: to combine Kusum's forgotten sitar skills with Kamla's forbidden singing and share it with the world on YouTube. What starts as a simple act of rediscovery soon becomes a journey toward fame, financial independence and self-worth. But as their popularity grows, they must confront the families that confined them. Can their music break the chains of their old lives and forge a new identity or will the backlash silence them forever? This is an tale of female solidarity, courage and the fight to be heard.
