Picking up the pieces
( Elle 's pov)
It hasn't been hard for me to make myself invisible , I mean no one really notices me anyway unless Xavier Vance the richest guy in school was bullying me. it was easy to turn off my feelings especially now that my older brother Julian had died in a car accident while being the ride home for every other kid at the football party, it was a drunk driver who struck his car killing him instantly. It was around noon at school when I was standing in line for lunch when Xavier and his crew came walking towards me. Today I wasn't in the mood for his bullshit because little did he know it was the one year anniversary that my brother had passed away . Laughing he flipped my lunched tray onto the floor " lick it up " he demanded he was rich and hot, that's why everyone loved him. As the entire school watched I threw my drink in his face angirly " fuck you Xavier!" I said pushing past him as cassie grabs my arm angirly " you can't talk to my boyfriend that way !" Xavier rolls his eyes I shove myself away from her " cassie maybe you need to discuss your relationship status with Xavier before forcing him into something. " she slaps me hard making my mouth bleed so I punch her in the nose the principle shouts out loud " vance and Evans in my office now!" I sighed heavily heading to the office sitting next to Xavier wasn't my finest moment as he whispers to me " did you mean what you said too cassie about me not being forced into something, it sounded like you cared?" He asks curiously I blush looking away from him " I dont believe people should be forced to love someone they dont" he nods at me in agreement " me either " the principle walks in sitting down " alright you two , for a total of an entire month you will be doing our anger management classes together. " we look at eachother shaking our heads Xavier slams his fists on the chair I sigh heavily touching his hand " hey , its just for a month. " he sighs the principle states that we are to do the homework assignments from the class together aswell. It goes towards our grades we sigh standing up Xavier plays nice opening the door for me " I've got something to tell you Elle " he says as he opens the door to his car I look at it beginning to cry" you're the one who killed Julian? But ...your his best friend what happened Xavier?" I ask him crying he hugs me crying somehow I feel safe in his arms. " I found out Julian kissed cassie that night, we talked he went to the party i stayed at school to practice more. My water bottle was tampered with , because Julian called me to help him out drive the guys home. So I got into my car but it started getting blurry I went to pull over because got foggy and realized I hit another car when I saw who was I called the police told them everything. It was an accident I swear Elle " I step back looking at him confused " why pick on me Xavier " well I thought that was obvious?" He says to me confused I sigh annoyed " you mean You’ve been an asshole because you like me?" He shrugs nodding at me I get into his car " please just drive me home" he starts the car we are both silent as we know tomorrow is our first day of anger management classes together. Dreading the thought of the classes with Xavier and my bully liking me I head inside my house for good rest.
