Summary

This story reflects on the contrast between the rich and the poor and argues that true happiness is independent of wealth. The author notes that most people in the world are poor and face many struggles. However, the poor person finds happiness in their simplicity, freedom from fear, and lack of possessions that could be stolen. Conversely, the rich are often unhappy, constantly chasing money and material possessions like expensive cars and clothes. The author asserts that all people are born equal, and that money cannot buy happiness. The central message is that happiness is a great gift that is worth more than money. Therefore, whether rich or poor, people should strive to be happy in their lives.

Happiness vs Richness

There are all kinds of people in our world, some poor and some rich. This story is an essay about the world of a poor person. There are more poor people in this world than there are rich people.

Poor people face problems in everything, like eating, living, drinking, and many other things. But the poor person is happy because there is no one to humiliate him, and he is not afraid. After all, what can a thief steal from a poor man’s house? This poor man has very little money, nor does he have any place of his own. People can be happy even when they are poor, but some people on Earth are not happy even after being rich. The rich people only run after money. They are not happy even after being rich, so what is the use of their money?

They live only for the benefit of their money, buying expensive cars and expensive clothes. Everything is expensive. But they cannot buy happiness with money. All the people of Earth are equal, for all are born equal. There are all kinds of people on Earth.

That is why, whether we are rich or poor, we should be happy in our life. Because happiness is a great gift; it is worth more than money.
