Prologue: The Whisper Beneath Hidden Town
There’s a place the world has forgotten—buried beneath decades of silence, swallowed by time, and sealed under endless rain. They call it Hidden Town, but no one remembers who first spoke its name. It sits between the mountains and the river, a place where fog rolls in but never leaves, where every breath feels borrowed and every night lasts a little longer than it should.
If you listen closely, you can hear it—faint, soft, crawling through the cracks of broken houses. The whisper. It moves like the wind but speaks like memory. No one can say what it truly is. Some say it’s a curse. Others believe it’s the town itself, whispering the names of those who never escaped.
It began decades ago with a story everyone dismissed as folklore—The Girl in the Window. A pale figure standing on the upper floor of a decayed house, staring out through cracked glass. They said her eyes followed you even when you walked away. A man once tried to prove she wasn’t real. He entered that house under the full moon. They found him days later on the floor, his nails torn, his face frozen in a scream that never made a sound.
Then came The Unwanted Experiment. A scientist, hidden deep in the forest outskirts, sought to cheat death. But what he made refused to die—or sleep. The lights in his lab never turned off again, even after the power lines were cut.
Nowhere House stood next, an impossible place that defied time. The clocks inside never moved, yet footsteps echoed in every hall. Doors led to nowhere, mirrors reflected strangers, and voices whispered through walls that shouldn’t exist.
And then there was Haunted Laia, the child who played with unseen friends in the cemetery. When she smiled, the air grew cold. When she cried, the graves wept with her.
Years later came The Ghost Case, a file that should’ve remained sealed. A detective reopened it, chasing the truth about Hidden Town. But the deeper he dug, the more he realized—he wasn’t investigating the town’s past. The town was investigating him.
By the time of Another Shadow, the curse had already grown roots. A man celebrated his birthday, unaware that every candle he blew out dimmed another light in the world. His reflection no longer matched his face. It smiled before he did.
Those who tried to Escape From the Shadows learned too late that there was no way out. The exits looped back, twisting time and memory. The streets folded into themselves, trapping souls like flies in amber.
Beyond the Room promised hope. But there was no beyond. There was only the room—the same room that existed in every story, every nightmare, every dream. A place where the walls whispered names and the ceiling breathed.
And finally came Hidden Memories—the last spark of truth. A place where everything connects. The girl in the window. The experiment. The detective. The curse. All pieces of a single nightmare that the town itself created to remember those it consumed.
Some say Hidden Town is gone.
But sometimes, when the sky turns the color of ash and the rain starts to fall, you can still see its outline at the edge of the fog.
And if you’re foolish enough to listen closely, you’ll hear it—
a voice just behind your ear, whispering ..…
“Welcome back.”
