Chapter 1

The man, Rohan, had been searching for his college friend, Akshay, for what felt like an eternity. Five years had passed since Akshay had vanished without a word, leaving behind only a cryptic letter and a trail of unanswered questions.

As Rohan stepped into the village, nestled deep in the heart of the forest, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. The villagers seemed friendly enough, but there was something in their eyes that made him feel like they were hiding something.

"Akshay?" Rohan asked the village elder, a kind-faced old man with a bushy beard. "Yes, we know him," the elder replied, his voice low and measured. "He came here five years ago, seeking refuge. But he left a few months later, chasing after... something."

Rohan's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean? What was he chasing?"

The elder leaned in, his voice barely above a whisper. "The forest has secrets, my friend. Dark secrets. Akshay was searching for answers, but I fear he may have found more than he bargained for."

Suddenly, a young girl appeared at the elder's side, her eyes wide with fear. "Uncle, don't tell him," she whispered. "It's not safe."

The elder's expression turned grave. "I'm afraid it's too late, child. He's already here."

As night began to fall, Rohan set out to explore the village, determined to uncover the truth about Akshay's disappearance. But as he walked, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being led deeper into the heart of darkness...

In the night everyone in the village gathered to shrine. The village dont have electricity facility. They holding a lamp in their hand.

The darkness of the night seemed to press in on Rohan as he followed the villagers to the shrine, their lamps casting flickering shadows on the trees. The air was thick with the scent of incense and smoke, and the villagers' faces were etched with a mix of fear and reverence.

As they reached the shrine, Rohan saw that it was an ancient structure, covered in moss and vines. The villagers formed a circle around the shrine, their lamps held high, and began to chant in a low, rhythmic tone.

The village elder stepped forward, his eyes closed, and began to speak in a language Rohan couldn't understand. The villagers' chanting grew louder, and the air seemed to vibrate with an otherworldly energy.

Suddenly, the flames of the lamps danced and spat, and a figure emerged from the shadows.

It was Akshay.

Rohan's heart leapt with joy, but as he took a step forward, the villagers blocked his way. Akshay's eyes were wild and unfocused, and he seemed to be staring into some inner realm.

"Akshay, it's me, Rohan," he called out, but Akshay didn't seem to hear him.

The village elder spoke, his voice low and urgent. "Akshay has been chosen. He has been called by the forest spirits."

Chosen? Called? What did it mean?

Akshay began to speak, his voice not his own, and Rohan felt a chill run down his spine.
