Prologue - The Eternal Conflict

Eons ago— Before the first stars blazed into existence, before time dared unravel its linear path, There was only Darkness.

An endless void of absolute nothingness. Cold, silent and Infinite. A realm without beginning or end.

And then—something stirred.

ZARATHOS!

A presence older than the creation itself, not merely a power—but

embodiment of darkness itself, From the age before ages, he rules the dark

realm, a place untouched by light, unshaped by physics, where even time dared

not tread.

He existed in solitude, not out of peace–but because there was nothing else.

Until…

A spark.

A rupture tore through the stillness—

Thirteen billion years ago, In a single blinding instant, The universe was born.

Matter surged outward, Time surged into being, and from the heart of this

newborn cosmos a beacon ignited, a force of balance and brilliance…

ARCHIMEDES!

Vast and ancient, Archimedes maintained the delicate equilibrium between good and evil, light and dark, residing at the very centre of the universe, blazing in the form of a star.

Its flames shimmer in impossible hues — blues that crackle with logic and light, silvers that echo destiny. This sentient blue supergiant does not speak nor move, yet all things—light and shadow, fate and chaos—are drawn to it.

But soon darkness wanted to take back its place. Older than the cosmos itself, Zarathos had found an eternal rival.

Both forces—Archimedes and Zarathos —were now bound to the same finite universe.

Archimedes, shaped by balance and light,

Zarathos, forged in the furnace of entropy.

Where Archimedes preserve,

Zarathos consume, corrupt, and conquer.

Where Archimedes offered clarity,

Zarathos whispered confusion.

One sustained, the other unravelled.

And thus began the eternal conflict—A cosmic struggle between light and darkness, order and chaos. Neither could destroy the other, for both were essential to the equation of existence. But they would battle, again and again, across the stars, across the ages.

Powers cannot be left unguarded!

As eons passed and galaxies spiralled into form, life began to bloom in thecorners of the universe, civilizations rose, minds awakened, gods were worshipped, destinies began to stir, intelligent life came into existence.

Archimedes made a choice.

A single being would be chosen.

One soul, among trillions, deemed worthy of wielding its light and carry its power.

This soul would carry its wisdom. Its burden. Its might.

This soul would be called—

The Keeper…

The Archimedes Keeper.

And somewhere, deep in the forgotten corners of space, Zarathos watched.

Patient. Eternal. Waiting to return.

The eternal conflict had entered a new age.

The Star That Chose Me is just one small part of a much bigger universe I'm building — "ProjectArchimedes" — and I have plenty of stories planned for the future, hope you will enjoy reading , remember this is my first time, so please do mention any flaws and if you spot any mistakes or have suggestions, please let me know — I'm learning as I go.

Thank a ton for checking this out!☺️

New chapters will be uploaded every Thursday.

P.S. I'm still an undergrad student, so please be patient if some chapters take a little time to upload.
