The Library Isn't Gone
Chapter 1: The Library Isn’t Gone
Leah didn’t go back to the library for three days.
She told herself she wouldn’t.
That it was just stress. Just imagination. Just a trick of light and loneliness.
But on the fourth day, after school, she found herself walking the exact same hallway again.
The wall at the end was blank.
No door.
No wood.
Nothing.
“…Of course,” she whispered.
She turned to leave.
That’s when she heard it.
A soft page turning sound behind her.
Leah spun around.
The door was there again.
Slightly open.
Like it had been waiting.
Inside, nothing had changed.
The golden lamp still glowed.
The notebook still sat on the desk.
But this time—
It was already open.
And already written in.
“You came back.”
Leah froze.
“I didn’t,” she said instantly.
But she stepped closer anyway.
Against her own will.
