Chapter 1: Arrival Of The Brat
London, 3 years ago, Greenwood high school
Geoffrey Godwin, 23, stepped out of his sleek, black sports car, adjusting his shades with a smirk. His tattoo-sleeved arm flexed as he ran a hand through his messy, dark hair. He was the epitome of a London rich kid, and he knew it.He sauntered into the high school's administrative office, his eyes scanning the room with a air of superiority. The principal, a middle-aged woman with a stern expression, greeted him.
"Ah, Mr. Godwin, welcome. We're expecting you," she said, her tone firm but polite.Geoffrey flashed a charming smile, one that had gotten him out of many a trouble. "Thanks, love. Here to report for duty."The principal, Mrs. Thompson, led him to Class 3, a room filled with curious students and a few teachers. As they entered, the students' chatter died down."Mrs. Thompson: "Class, please welcome your new school room tutor, Mr. Godwin. He's here to help you with your studies."Geoffrey gave a lazy wave, his eyes locking with the students. That's when he saw her – a brown-skinned girl with piercing brown eyes, her long black hair cascading down her back like a midnight river. She looked...different. Not like the usual girls he went for, but there was something about her..."Aliya, welcome to our school," Mrs. Thompson said, noticing the new girl. "Mr. Godwin will be your tutor."Geoffrey's gaze lingered on Aliya before he turned to the class. "Alright, mates, let's get this show on the road. I'm here to help you all become...well, less stupid."The female teachers exchanged giggles, and the students snickered. Aliya, however, wasn't impressed. She raised an eyebrow, her expression a mix of disdain and annoyance.Geoffrey noticed, a spark of interest igniting within him. "Ah, looks like we have a firecracker in the room."Aliya's eyes narrowed, but she said nothing, her gaze fixed on the board as Mrs. Thompson began the introductions. As he class settled, Geoffrey's playboy persona kicked in. He flirted with the female teachers, winked at the students, and generally made a show of himself. Aliya watched, her disapproval growing by the minutWho was this arrogant, tattooed brat? And why was he so... annoying? The bell rang, signaling the end of the period. As the students filed out, Aliya gathered her things, her eyes avoiding Geoffrey's.He, however, wasn't ready to let her go. "Hey, Aliya, right? Welcome to the school."Aliya's gaze met his, cold and detached. "Thanks."Geoffrey's grin never faltered. "No worries, love. I'm here to help. And maybe...get to know you better."Aliya's expression didn't change, but her voice was firm. "I doubt that." With that, she turned and walked out, leaving Geoffrey staring after her, a mixture of surprise and intrigue on his face.
