Aanya is a quiet, shy, and emotional girl from a middle-class family. Her two elder sisters are successful and well-settled, but Aanya struggles in studies and often feels insecure comparing herself to them. Even though she has a kind heart and never wishes bad for anyone, things somehow always go wrong for her. Over time, she stops trusting people — not her friends, not her family, and not even love. She begins to believe that she is not worthy of being loved. In her new school, adjusting becomes difficult. The girls in her class are rude and dominating, and her closest friend is moved to another section. This makes Aanya feel even more alone. She becomes quieter, avoids speaking even when she knows the answers, and starts observing people instead of interacting with them. Slowly, she makes two new friends, but she still feels emotionally attached to her old best friend. One day, a boy sends her a request on social media. Though hesitant, she accepts it — and this small decision begins to change her life. As the story progresses, Aanya starts writing her feelings. Writing becomes her safe space, where she can express everything she cannot say out loud. Through this journey, she meets someone who understands her, supports her, and helps her grow. In the end, Aanya must make a choice — will she continue living in fear and silence, or will she find the courage to express herself and accept who she truly is? ---

A QUIET GIRL

Aanya was a quiet and simple girl.

She belonged to a middle-class family. In her house, there were her mom, dad, her two elder sisters, and her. Both her sisters were well-settled and doing jobs. They were confident, independent, and good at studies.

But Aanya was different.

She was not very good in studies. She was shy and mostly stayed silent. She had a little anger inside her, but she only showed it to the people she considered her own. Deep inside, she had a very kind heart. She never wanted bad for anyone.

Still, somehow, things always went wrong for her.

Because of this, Aanya slowly stopped trusting people. Not her friends. Not her family. Not even love.

Sometimes she felt… maybe she was not made for love.

Her story started in her new school.

She had already changed two schools before. And now, this was her third school.

Adjusting here was not easy.

The girls in her class were very different. They were loud, bold, and sometimes even rude. Their behavior made Aanya uncomfortable. But she didn’t say anything. She just stayed quiet… and observed everyone.

She noticed everything.Who was kind.Who was fake.Who to stay away from.

But she never spoke much.

Till class 8, Aanya never liked anyone in a special way. She didn’t even think about it.

But in class 9, everything started to change.

Sections got divided.

And the one person she was closest to… her best friend… went to another section.

That day, Aanya felt something break inside her.

After that, she felt even more alone.

She stopped talking even more. Even when teachers asked questions and she knew the answers… she stayed silent.

Slowly, she made two new friends.

They were nice to her. They tried to include her.

But Aanya was still attached to her old best friend.

Every day during lunch, she would go to meet her.

And this made her new friends feel bad.

They didn’t like that she left them and went somewhere else.

Aanya noticed it… but she didn’t know what to do.

She was stuck between past and present.

And then… something unexpected happened.

One day, a boy sent her a follow request on Instagram…and also on Snapchat.

Aanya looked at the screen.

She didn’t know him.

For a moment, she hesitated.

But then… she accepted the request.
