A death in the winter: Prologue
Frozen heart, constrained to palpitate, berefth of the scope to throb independently. Bones turned into molten cold, seized to feel any pain. Eyes deprived of emotions with the coldness it is served to witness. Love, a word in distortions, lost its meaning in the cold storms that hit the hearts. Frozen blood clotted on the skin, no mercy, no forgiveness, only a cold masquerade: This is Winter.
That night was the most chilling night of the season. The trees were bleeding their leaves who themselves were marching towards an unwanted death. The permafrost was thick and it just got thicker as wherever you let your feet , a crackling sound followed. The wind blew humming a melancholic tune as the winter took a breath away. The crimson hue covered the ice white of the snow, as it oozed out in a stream of deltas.
We don't know why it happened? How it embroiled to this? We were lost. We were clueless as if a cold ice dagger had struck our hearts. But we knew that our lives will never be the same again from here on
