Chapter 8: Zain Shah meet up with hooriya shah
"Okay bro, let's see." Just then the room door opened and Shayan Shah came in. Seeing Zain Shah in front of him, he was surprised. "Zain, when did you reach Pakistan and you didn't even tell me? Otherwise I would have picked you up from the airport." Both met warmly. "No Shayan, I was just kidding with you guys. Aryan's driver had come, so he dropped me. Has Aryan come back too?" Shayan asked. "Yes, he has come back too. Shayan, you take Arzam home. I'll pick Hooriya up from university. Actually I was just about to go to pick both of them from uni." "Good thing, you go then. And there are some files etc of the university to check in the office too. I haven't made a round of the university for so many days. An important project of mine is going on in the office, didn't get time." "Shayan, I don't even know anything about the university. How will I check the files?" "Let's do one thing. First we drop Little Shah at home, then both of us go to the university together."After dropping off Arzam Shah, Zain Shah and Shayan Shah left for the university. The university gate was open and Zain Shah’s Mercedes stopped in the porch.
“Hmm... Shayan, hasn’t the university closed yet? What’s the timing?” Zain Shah asked.
“Classes end at 6. It’s only 4 right now, 2 hours left. And midterms are going on at the university, so sometimes they get late.” Shayan replied.
“I need to check at the office if the preparations for the midterm and annual exams are going smoothly.” Shayan said.
“Let’s go to the office then.”
“Okay, let’s go.”
Both of them entered the university’s principal office, which was built in a royal style. Anyone who looked at it once would find it hard to look away.
Zain Shah sat down on a sofa placed to one side. Just then, a student’s voice came from outside:
“May I come in, sir?”
“Yes, come in.” Shayan replied.
“Assalamu alaikum, sir.”
“Walaikum salam. Yes, how can I help you?”
“Sir, we have a complaint.”
“What kind of complaint?” Shayan Shah asked.
“Sir, we are from the Business group. For many days, lectures for our main subject, Graphics, have not been held. And our midterm exam is tomorrow. Sir, 3 chapters are still left.”Oh shittt I had completely forgotten about your lectures. Sir Ahmed's health wasn’t good, he had taken leave from me. I had decided that I would take your lectures myself, but I had some problems due to which I couldn’t. But right now I’m not free.
"Sir, then how will we give the exam tomorrow?"
"Ahh, Zain Shah, your subject was this too, right?" Shayan asked Zain.
"I studied it so long ago," Zain Shah replied.
"Stop acting, have you forgotten? You got full marks in this subject," Shayan said.
"But right now..." Zain Shah was about to say something when Shayan said, "Students, you go. Zain Shah is coming to take the lecture."
"Okay, thanks sir. Allah Hafiz." The students walked out.
"Shayan, what the hell?" Zain Shah said.
"What what? Nothing. One minute, meet Hooriya first, then go to take the class. No one here knows that our sisters study here, and Hooriya is from that class," Shayan said.
"Okay, you call Hooriya."
"I already called her. Maida Shah and Hooriya Shah were sitting in class when just then the peon came and said, 'Hooriya Shah, Shayan sir is calling you to the office.'"
"Why is this brother of yours calling me to the office, Maida?" Hooriya Shah asked Maida Shah.
"Girl, he must be missing you. Be ashamed, Maida."
"Peon uncle, you go, I’m coming. Okay, beta, come quickly."
Maida Shah had been very upset since morning, but she didn’t let Hooriya feel it. Hooriya Shah had already asked her a thousand times, "Why are you upset?" but Maida Shah would give some answer and avoid the topic. Actually, Maida Shah had gotten late today, that’s why Hooriya Shah had come to the university first.
Hooriya opened the office door and entered. Seeing Zain Shah sitting right in front, she got a 440-volt shock.
"Brother, you..." She ran and hugged Zain Shah. "Brother, you are so bad. Don’t you remember me and Arzam Bhai? You left us and went away." Hooriya Shah’s tears started flowing down her cheeks, but these tears were unbearable for someone else.
Shayan Shah barely controlled his anger. "Hooriya, my girl, shut up. Don’t cry. Brother missed you so much. Look, brother is here with you now," Zain Shah said, looking at Hooriya.
But Hooriya Shah’s tears kept flowing continuously.
"Hooriya Shah, if even one more tear falls from your eyes, no one will be worse than me." Shayan Shah’s voice echoed in the office.
Just then Hooriya Shah’s tears hit the brakes.
"Shayan Shah, by what right are you shouting at my sister in front of me?" Zain Shah looked at Shayan Shah angrily.
"Her actions are enough to make anyone shout. Look what condition she’s put her eyes in. And don’t talk about rights, Zain Shah. If anyone in this world has the most right over Hooriya Shah, it’s Syed Shah," Shayan Shah said.
Zain Shah gritted his teeth at Shayan Shah’s words.
"Hooriya beta, you go to the classroom. I’m coming to take the lecture in your class."
"Yes, brother," Hooriya said, and was about to leave the office when Zain Shah also came out of the office behind her and his steps were toward the classroom. He opened the classroom door and went inside.
