chapter no 1: the beginning of our friendship

Friendships often begin in the most unexpected ways.

I had a friend group of four girls: Nawal, Hareem, Areesha, and me (Wania). When our friendship started in 2018, Nawal was the oldest at 8 years old, I was 7 years old, Hareem was 6 years old, and Areesha was 4 years old.

Areesha and I were cousins, while Nawal and Hareem were sisters. At first, we all eventually became best friends, but our friendship did not begin that way.

Areesha and I used to live in a joint family system where our families shared one home filled with love and laughter. Later, our family built a house right next to Nawal's and Hareem's house, and soon our two families became neighbours.

One pleasant evening, both families met at a park. While the parents happily talked and got to know one another, the children were not having a very good time. Our personalities were completely different, and we found it difficult to get along.

Things became even worse when Hareem and Nawal accidentally ate Areesha's chocolate. Areesha became very angry, and I immediately took her side.

"That was Areesha's chocolate," I complained.

"It was only a chocolate," Nawal replied.

"Yes, it wasn't a big deal," Hareem added.

But for Areesha, it was a very big deal. From that day onward, we didn't like each other very much.

After that me and nawal tried to negotiate with Areesha but she remained stubborn. One day our parents dropped a bombshell on us. They had invited wania and areesha over for a dawat with their families me and nawal were not happy about it but we reluctantly went downstairs to attend the dawat. And our mum gave wania and areesha both one chocolate each as a apology about earlier after that we started hating them less. We even became friends! And played tag together one day we were playing in the park when everyone saw a cute puppy wania nawal and areesha ran over to it to pet it and play with it but I had a big fear of dogs so I started running. But just my luck..that dog starts chasing me and I ran all around the park and instead of helping me nawal wania and areesha were laughing and staying stuff like Nawal: "Hareem, don't worry! If you run any faster, you'll qualify for the Olympics!" Wania: "The puppy thinks you're a limited-edition chew toy!"

Areesha: "Imagine being bullied by someone who still drinks water from a bowl." That was our first memory.

Every friendship is filled with memory. But some memories are so funny that they stay in the heart forever.

one night, we decided to visit children's park near our house. The weather was cool and pleasant and it also rained heavily in the morning. In the park, out of 2 swings one was broken, so only one swing was left, because of this we would always compete to see who could reach the swing first. On our way, I made up my mind to be the first on the swing. The streets were a little dark as most of the lights were not working. The moment I saw the swing I ran as fast as I could, smiling and imagining my victory.

However, I forgot that it rained in the morning. Under the swing was a large puddle of muddy water. Before I could stop I fell straight into it with a loud splash. Mud covered my clothes from head to toe. For a moment I did not know whether to laugh or cry so I did both at the same time. When Nawal saw me she quickly ran for help. She said "Wania what happend?" but I did not answer, I wanted her to also feel the muddy water. When Nawal gave me her hand for help she also slipped into the muddy water.

A few moments later Areesha and Hareem arrived. Instead of helping they burst into laughter, they laughed so hard that they could barely stand. Finally we both stood up by ourself, and we went back home as me and Nawal could not swing with dirty clothes. We could barely walk with these clothes. Finally we reached home but our parents were shocked. "What have you done to yourself?" they asked. Before me and Nawal could even explain our parents started scolding us for being careless and Hareem and Areesha were making fun of us,but that was a very memorable day
