Chapter: Lin

The Lyconian Trials: Lin Side Story

Oh, Little Brown Rabbit, born in the white room.

Your parents welcomed you, admiring how cute you are.

So small, fluffy, and innocent.

You would never see the sun, but your smile had its brightness.

You grew up with loving parents, showering you with love.

You thought their love would be constant.

You were wrong.

Once you were old enough to read and think.

Once those humans in white coats came for you in your box.

They pulled the crochet doll to play with.

They didn’t bat an eye, letting them hurt you.

Stab you, take your innocence, warp your views.

You reach out to them through a glass window.

They never look your way.

You thought you could play games with the other rabbits.

Make them laugh and sing.

The next day, they were gone.

You did the same tricks over and over.

They vanished over and over.

You hold your tongue now.

Treating everyone with coldness just to save them.

Eat, study, train, sleep.

Eat, study, train, sleep.

A cycle that played every day, but you didn’t know any better.

Then the trials came.

You fight.

You win.

The other bunny vanishes.

It scares you.

Because if you lose.

You become nothing.

Keep fighting, Little Brown Rabbit.

One day, you see a little Black Rabbit,

He reminds you of your father.

He has the next number on your tag.

You are always curious.

Don’t let the old cat proverb be you.

==========================================================================================================

“Twenty-six! Are you listening!?” The Doctor yelled, getting the Brown Rabbit’s attention. She was coming back to reality when she focused on Twenty-seven.

“Yes, sir.” The Brown Rabbit prostrated herself to her superior. She didn’t remember what he was talking about; they always said weird words.

“ It’s time for you to find a mate. I was thinking? Forty-four?” The doctor rubbed his chin, looking at the papers. Brown Rabbit gasped at the suggestion, making the Doctor jolt.

“Is there a problem?” The Doctor leaned in.

“Oh, you know. I’m not even the strongest Centalope in the corridor. Maybe another candidate is fine?” She tried to wheedle herself out, getting a refusal from the Doctor. She wasn’t fond of that male—too arrogant, too boring.

“Whether you like it or not, your genes and his would make an Alpha series Centalope. Take it like this; your intuition and his brawn would benefit the Purist.” The Doctor voiced his final words, leaving her tempering herself.

==============================================================================================================

“Hit him again, Forty-four!” A Centalope cheered at the Jackalope, wailing on another. The males surround the defensively male, trapping him in. The Brown Rabbit sat with some females from her unit, drinking her carton of milk.

“Most females would kill to have Forty-Four as a mate. The Doc hands him to you, and you’re being picky?” One of the numbers told her. She didn’t remember her number.

“The benefits of being the class leader, if any of us mouth back at him, we disappear.” Another female said with a shrug. Brown Rabbit gets sick of this whole game, leaving a bit of milk in her carton. She makes sure to shake it, then throws it at forty-four.

~gasp~

The lunchroom went quiet. Forty-four turned with menace.

“Who the fuck threw that?” Forty-four said, making the Centalopes and Jackalopes droop their ears.

“Your mother.” The Brown Rabbit said with a bored pout. Forty-four smiles, walking toward the Brown Rabbit. The cow-colored boy looks up with brushes, getting a wink from the Brown Rabbit. The cow-colored rabbit blushes. The females near the Brown Rabbit ran to different tables.

“Twenty-six, why am I not surprised.”

“Oh, I’m so scared. Big scary Jackoff is bullying me.” She wiggled her body.

“Fine, play your games, Twenty-six. The doctors have already told me that you’re going to be my mate.” He said with a smile, looking at her developing figure.

“I would rather be broken in by a Bultarus to be honest; at least I wouldn’t die from lack of pee-pee.” She said with a devilish smile, putting her fingers in a “C”. The lunchroom laughs at her remark, making Forty-four scan the hecklers and shut them up.

“Once those papers go through, I’m gonna strangle you when I get in it. Can’t wait for you to bear my offspring.” He said while he tilted her chin to his head. She didn’t care about that; her eyes went hollow with malicious intent. She purses her lips, making the hot-blooded male think she was into him. He took the bait, as The Brown Rabbit used the table to hop up and roundhouse him to a table corner.

Forty-four was out cold, and the lunchroom cheered for her. She gracefully lands in a pose, looking at the females.

“He’s yours for now, get him while he’s hot.” She said while stepping over him, walking to the cow-colored rabbit. She crouches down, rubbing the male’s brushed face. He blushes, meeting her minxed eyes.

“You okay, fourteen?” She asked the boy, yet her alluring eyes made him stutter. He slaps her hand, surprising her with this act of rudeness.

“You shouldn’t be talking to me; you’re the Alpha of the class.” He said with a pout.

“One of my underclassmen is injured. Come, let’s go to the infirmary.” She lifts him up, leading him by his blue sleeve. They exit the door, and one of the males clicks his tongue.

==========================================================================================================

“Twenty-six, this is not the---!” Fourteen was silenced as Twenty-six closed the maintenance closet, wrapping her arms around his neck and meeting his lips. She kicks up her foot as her mind fills with so much dopamine. He closes his eyes and lets her guide him. She sucks on his middle lip, making him moan. She giggles from his pleasure.

“You sound like a female.” She said while rubbing her nose to his. He chuckles, yet his mind melts when she goes for his ear. She pins him to the back of the wall, pulling him down with her. She sucked on his ears, reaching for his coat buttons. She smiled when he got excited, sitting on his lap while she enjoyed teasing him.

“Twenty-six, this is against the rules. No mating unless the overseer prints a contract.” She didn’t let him finish, wedging him against the wall and kissing him some more. She goes down the buttons, leaving his chest exposed. She then sucks on his neck bone, giving him a playful bite. He gave a high-pitched gasp, hitting every switch he had. His hormones finally wore off, pushing her down to the floor.

She breathes heavily, looking so cute while she longs for him. He wants to go further, but morality is flooding his mind.

“Twenty-six, if anyone found out, we would get in trouble.” He sadly repeated. She pulled him down to her lips. She whispered in his ear, stimulating his need.

“I won’t let that bastard have the luxury of taking my first. The crap I can tell him when he figures out that I didn’t bleed.” She said with some ulterior motive. Right now, he was too deep to have the chance to mate with the female that the whole class wanted. Before he could go any further, the door opened. The two Centalopes both looked at their instructor and the classmate who sold them out with a nervous sweat.

============================================================================================================

A stamp slams on the papers with Twenty-six’s face on it, leaving a child’s duty on the slip. She took the paper without looking at the issuer, following Fourteen down the white hallway.

“I told you we would get in trouble.” He said weakly; she didn’t care and picked her nose.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about; I got suspended from the breeding program. I’ll be reinstated in the next six months.” She said with a shark smile, looking at her pink nails. They pass a room that has their classmates in it. Forty-four gave them both a dirty look. Twenty-six looks at the females, points at her friend, and measures her hands with a large gap.

The females all screamed from the inaudible glass, and Forty-four blew a head gasgit. She laughed with a nasal snort, feeling good after pissing the Jackalope off. Fourteen droops his ears with slight annoyance.

“You know that guy is gonna beat me within an inch of my life when I get back?” He pointed out.

“Yeah, but that’s a two-week-old problem. A lot can happen in two weeks inside a room?” She said in a flirtatious tone, making him blush.

“Its not on contract!” He straightens his back and screams.

“I still want to mate with you. If a couple of ankle-biters watch, then we label it as education.” She said, with no joking tone, being very serious. She stops when she sees a Lyconian pup being sedated in a room, flicking her ears with curiosity. Fourteen notices and droops his ears.

“Rumor says that they bought her after her tribe was wiped out. Poor puppy, they’re thinking of discarding her.” Fourteen rubbed the glass of the slumbering Lyconian. She watches the cute little puppy for a bit, then.

“Sucks to suck.” She walks away, leaving fourteen devastated.

“Do you even care about other people besides yourself!” Her screams as he tenses his arms.

“No, that’s why I have you with me, Moo-Moo.” She pondered for a minute and continued walking. Fourteen freaks out by her nickname for him, rushing back to her.

“You know we aren’t allowed to give each other names; I told you this.” He panics, which she didn’t take seriously, pursing her lips and saying it again. He blushes, then they reach the daycare slide door. It was a riot—children being children—in a small room with a struggling human lady. The two friends quickly glanced at each other, then continued watching the horror. The human lady breathed a sigh of relief, coming to the assigned helpers.

“Oh thank heavens you two came. I need actual help from these kid species. I thought having a class of bunny children would be cute and all, but their energy never goes down.” The daycare assistant told the two to stop, rubbing their sleeves. Twenty-six looked away, not wanting to be a part of this conversation; then she saw a certain black rabbit. She fully ignored the lady, watching the black rabbit as it read a book.

She was confused by this sight; tomes from the surface were banned in the base.

“Does he have a tome?” She asked the human, and the human responded with a nod.

“When I got summoned to this world, I had my backpack on me. When I was coming back from work, I was brought here with all my children’s books. He seems the most reserved one out of all these kids, so I gave him my picture books.” The human said while Twenty-six wasn’t listening. Fourteen noticed as well, nudging her attention.

“What’s wrong with you?” He asked in a whisper; the human heard everything.

“ I think that’s my brother?” She said with a confused head tilt. The news made the Otherwolder happy. Fourteen lost all the color from his face, bringing her in for a talk.

“That would be cool and all, but they don’t let older and younger generations bond until they’re in the same unit. We are only here to prevent us from training; that’s the only reason.” He tries to reason with her, and both of them notice the Otherworlder women crying.

“You mean you guys can’t bond with your family *sniff*? That’s so sad. Well, as long as you’re in my room, you can talk to him however you want.” The Otherworlder said while guiding the Brown Rabbit to the boy. She had never felt this feeling before; her palms were sweating, and she had an unwarranted fear. They left fourteen with the other kittens, as all of them surrounded him and looked up. Flicking their ears with curiosity.

“Hey—kids?” Fourteen felt his nerves sounding an alarm, but their kids, no need to worry. The children smelled fear and talked to the male as he screamed from the horde mentality. They dragged him out of view, screaming like a female. Twenty-six couldn’t help but laugh, but now she was next to the shy little black rabbit.

“I’ll leave you two alone.” The Otherworlder whispered, going to war with the kids. The black rabbit noticed her, curling into a ball out of fear. She finds the uncanny feeling amusing. He exactly looks like her father, with the same birthmarks on the pelt. The only difference was how cute he was, with his baby fat and chubby cheeks.

“Hey Kit, may I see your I. D tag?” She asked, what she found out was an interesting fact about the I. D tags. The last four numbers meant the pairing of Sentients—what breed they are. She was listening in to the doctors during their bathroom breaks, finding a way to go into the vents. She just found it funny when the tooted, but two male doctors talked to one another about the subject.

“The last four digits have significance to one of these animals’ births. The first and third letters are the initials of the parents; the second number is the number of pairings, one meaning a single pairing. The last number is the parents’ sector number, so if any animal has the same four digits, the chance that their siblings are 80%.”

This fact was seared in her memory; she wondered if she had a sibling herself. Every new Centalope coming into the block had her attention; she always asked for their ID, being the Alpha of the block. She did find direct siblings in the block, but never hers. She decided to never tell anyone this fact; usually, the sick doctors pitted them against each other for training. The loser always vanishes, and the meat eaters get extra food.

The black rabbit followed her orders, pulling his I.D. necklace from his blue shirt. She became very emotional; the digits read “L1N6,” the same one she had on her tag. At that moment, something changed in her—a yearning to hug the little bun. She climbed onto the bunk bed and wrapped her arms around the black rabbit. He didn’t know how to react, but he smelled something familiar, like his mother. The Black Rabbit started to cry in Twenty-six’s arms, feeling that he hadn’t truly been abandoned.

“I want to see the surface, sister. I want to see the sky and the trees.” Her brother said with so much hope radiating from his eyes. She smiles, loving that her brother wanted to do the same thing she wanted. She leans on Fourteen’s back as he snores after filling in for her job. He wasn’t the strongest in her unit, but he was the one that made her feel special. She couldn’t break her brother’s spirit; telling him the horrors to come would only break him.

“When you become stronger, the Purist will let you do field missions. Just do your best, and we’ll see the surface together.” Twenty-six told Twenty-seven, assuring her brother of an unlikely outcome. Spending a week and a half with him taught her one fact: her brother was too weak to enter the trials. The others bullied him; a scary idea got into her mind. He is more likely to fail the trial, making him vanish.

“Yeah, I’m gonna make you proud, big sister!” The little rascal smiled with childlike innocence. She pets the boy on the head, making him thump his foot rapidly.

“Teacher said that our testing would happen next week. I promise to study hard, big sissy.” He told his sister, drooping his ears when he saw her expression. Her eyes became hollow and cold, like her mother’s did when she abandoned him. She didn’t want those stupid trials to happen; she knew what happened to failures.

She was scared, but she felt so alive these past few weeks. She thought of a beautiful dream; one in which Fourteen, Twenty-seven, and herself settled in a cabin up in the Triangle. They would have a farm, growing delicious carrots. She would be expecting, and her brother found a lovely White Centalope on the surface.

*Alarm * *Alarm* *Alarm *

The room’s power shuts off, commencing locked down portocal. The room had the red light swirling around the room; the children were waking up and crying. Fourteen wakes up and her brother as well, covering their ears from the loud noise. The intercom rings. Twenty-six watches in horror.

“Everyone commence lockdown protocol. Corpse-diggers have broken into the facility. Everyone, stay calm and follow protocol.”

The slide door opens, and a doctor uses his card to bypass the system and open the room with the children. He is running away from the Sentient eating worm, meeting its elongated mouth to his head. The Doctor screams in pain as the digestive fluids melt his body while it swallows him whole. Another Corpse-digger whirls its body over the feasting one, hearing the screams of the children.

Twenty-six rushes the monster, Fourteen follows and gives the head a powerful double-chage kick. The Doctor’s card falls on the floor, letting her grab it as the worm flails and screeches in pain. She taps the door keypad, dodging its snap of the mouth and pulling the door closed. The monster slips its mouth into the small crack, trying to force its way for a meal. The worm screeches as the acid flows down, making the pair avoid it.

With each drip, the door was hard to wedge, as the two did their best to hold it shut. They were realized when a scream came down the hallway, and the Corpse-digger lost interest in them. The door’s mechanism was reset, slowly opening and causing the Brown rabbit to fall over. It was only for a second; her intrusive thoughts ran rapidly. The Corpse-diggers left a large hole with settled acid burns at the end of the corridor. She saw a chance, and she was taking it.

“Twenty-six, what are you doing!?” Fourteen yelled when she grabbed onto her brother and guided him to the door. Her brother held onto the book with a caterpillar, breathing heavily from fear. She grabs his sleeve, locking eyes with him and pleads.

“Come with us, Fourteen; let’s go find the surface,” she said with sincerity. Fourteen looked at the white room and its corridor, never liking the white atmosphere. He nodded and followed her as she swiped the key again to lock the door behind her. The three rushed to the hole. Fourteen led the charge, and her brother was in the middle; she followed behind. While its packmate devoured the Purist women, one of the Corpse-diggers noticed the sound they made.

=============================================================================================================================

“Are we there yet? I’m getting tired.” Her brother said, out of breath. She nudged him to continue. Fourteen notices a light at the end of the tunnel, flicking his ears. She marveled at the weird look of it; her eyes knew it was natural. They all climbed out, noticing that they were in the restricted area of the base, the hanger. The Corpse-diggers burn a whole straight to the top at the emergency exits. It was as if the gods wished for their freedom.

“Come on, fellas! Just roundabout and we’re out!” Twenty-six rushed to the staircase at the far edge of the large hangar. Fourteen slung her brother on her shoulders, making the kit laugh from his burst of speed. They quickly went up the stairs, scaling up with happy grins.

The thoughts of freedom filled her mind—no more fighting and no more worrying. Her dream was going to become a reality, just a couple more bounds away. The Gods can be cruel; in a single moment, she saw the end of a Corpse-digger coming at the boys quickly. Fourteen noticed it as well, throwing her brother with great force into her arms.

* Bang *

The Corpse-digger destroys the walkway with its power, crushing Fourteen like a tin can. She cradled her brother, falling to the first floor with pain rolling through her. They both landed, and the sight made her hope vanish.

“Fourteen!” She cried out his number as he lay in a bloody pool. Her brother started to cry from fear, and his brushes made her hug him while she backed away. The Corpse-digger goes for the free meal, slurping Fourteen with ease. It turns to her, ready for seconds. She wraps her arms around her brother, running with him in her arms. She didn’t know where to go; the stairs were opposite the Corpse-digger.

She rushes to the opposite corridor until the lights flash.

“Got a runaway and a Corpse-digger. Commencing retrieval and elimination.” Purist-Alpha agents flooded through the door. Twenty-six looked around as the Corpse-digger rushed for food. The Purist shot at the monster as it rams into their formation. She sees more units coming from the opposite side, where the stairs are. She looks at some stacked metal containers, knowing she could scale them.

“Sister, I’m scared.” Her brother trembled as she patted his bottom and shook him gently. She slings him over her neck and proceeds to climb the containers.

“Hold tight!” She told her brother, quickly scaling the containers. The other Corpse-digger came from the hole, aiming its grotesque, elongating mouth at the second squad. They were occupied, leaving her the opportunity to climb the emergency exit. The smell was different, and the sun’s rays warmed her skin. She clawed herself out, taking her brother with her.

=================================================================================================================

She wanders through the newly discovered forest, jaded by its beauty. Her brother fell asleep from all the fear draining his energy. It was supposed to be beautiful, but it was nothing to be amazed at without him. She didn’t know how this sun operated, but the world was falling into darkness soon.

It was freezing; her brother shivered even when she gave him her blue coat. It was always the right temperature in the facility, so they never had to worry about freezing to death. She was at the top of her class, soaking up all the skills they taught her in the room. Making a fire was a basic survival study—getting dry wood and swirling a branch for friction. Smoke came out after the seventh desperate attempt, making her ears flick with happiness. She blows it softly, kindling the flame to get warmer and warmer.

“Come close, brother; the fire will keep us warm.” She waved her hand at the shivering boy, whose chubby cheeks were shaking as he waddled to her. She takes back her jacket and cradles the boy with her body heat, then slings her coat over him. He snuggles in her arms, making the Centalope smile as she looks at the warm fire.

“Sister, what should I call you?” The black rabbit asked his sister. It was an odd question for her, making her chuckle.

“You can call me sister, you nerd.” She hugs the tiny kit, making him laugh as she rubs her head against his.

“No, I heard from Teacher that most humans in her world have names. Everyone has a different one.” He looked up at her with hopeful eyes, melting her feelings. It did sound nice, not having a number but a personal phrase.

“I want one.” He told his sister, making her conflicted. She wasn’t accustomed to the words and ways of the surface dwellers, so she wasn’t an expert on this subject.

“Don’t worry, brother. I’m sure that a few weeks in the Triangle, you’ll have a name with meaning.”

===================================================================================================================

They both fell asleep by the fire; she had a dream—she never knew that she could. She remembers Fourteen, a week in their penal labor, waiting for the children to sleep. The finished showing their love to each other, embracing in a cool vent over the Otherworlder’s offices. They held each other’s hands, admiring each other’s pelts. He kissed her ear, making her laugh. He then looked into her hazel eyes, brushing her cheek and tilting her chin.

“I love you, Twenty-six, thank you for picking me.”

She wakes up from her brother jerking her body; a single tear flows down her cheek.

“Sister, I’m thirsty.” Her brother pouts. She quickly regained her senses, stretching after experiencing that moment again. She had to come back to a world where he was gone, but he was the reason her brother complained so familiar with her. She opened her ears, listening for any running water. She flicks her ears after hearing a splash; there was water nearby.

“Stay here, brother. I’ll go check if the river is safe.” She rubs her brother’s head, quickly hopping down the hill. She remained cautious, knowing the Triangle had monsters and deadly Orcs around. The river was quiet, but the chirping sounds were a key hint that there was no danger. She dips her head and sips the water; it is drinkable. She felt pride from acquiring water, until she heard a scream.

“Sister! Help me!” Her brother called, sinking her heart with his loud cries. She hastens her climb upward, hiding in the bushes. She drooped her ears when she saw a full unit of Purist scanning the campsite, dragging her brother away. Her brother noticed her and screamed at her, as they ignored his body language; they just thought he was hysterical.

“Sister! Help me! I don’t want to go back! “I want to be with you!” He cried to her; she wanted to go and save him. She was inexperienced, but no fool; she couldn’t do anything to twenty agents. She helplessly watched as they took the boy back, making him disappear in the forest. She bit back her tears, sneaking away as her eyes swelled with guilt.

“Find her!” The agent screams at the others. She keeps low to the ground, repeating the same phrase.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

===============================================================================================================

She didn’t remember how long she ran; the moon went and came back many times. She was always hungry and tired. She didn’t want to sleep, replaying the lie in her head. She reached a point where she didn’t care about living; she just wanted to end it. She sat under a tree, waiting for a monster to come and eat her. She flicked her ears, hearing loud footsteps over her.

She looks at the three with hollow eyes, with no life in them anymore. It was three Orcs, one of them being three times the size of the others. His fate finally came; she would be eaten by these Orcs, returning to Fourteen at the gates. She closes her eyes, accepting her fate.

“This one looks weak, brother, but I never saw a young Centalope crave death; hardcore.” The one with the scar said.

“She looks weak and hungry. Who would leave such a small one out here alone?” The Orc in the merchant’s clothes said.

“This one traveled far, spreading like Linum flowers. Blue with beauty and the need for exploration.” The large Orc said. His words were soft and genuine, the sound of apples falling into her lap. She looks up and sees a set of Lyconian twins, smiling at her.

“Eat up, Kit, you’re being adopted now.” one of them said playfully. The other crouches down to the hungry Centalope, patting her head.

“Names Dimona, I welcome you to the Mor Clan, Little Rabbit.” She said with a motherly smile, warming the Centalopes broken heart. She eats the apples while she cries, her stomach aching from going a long time without food. Dimona grabs the Centaurepes ID, passing it to the Merchant.

“She’s a Purist, I don’t think she even has a name?” Dimona commented. The three Orcs look at the tag. The large one smiles, chuckling in all circumstances.

“What’s funny, Gardener?” The other Lyconian asked as he rubbed his belly.

“L.I.N, such a beautiful name.” Gardener points at the ID, making his merchant brother scratch his head.

“That’s a one, brother.” The Merchant Orc pointed out. Gardener shakes his head, waving his hands for his clanmen to listen.

“She traveled far and wears blue. She has the drive to discover and the inexperience. Funny-looking paper has L.1.N.6 at the end. The Gods have spoken; she is our little Lin flower.”

================================================================================================================

“That’s how you got your name, how sweet.” The older Teacher said as she poured Lin a drink. They watched the young ones play in the white room. She smiles at her compliment, blowing on the cup and taking a swift sip.

“Gardener is the best. I thought he was weird, but everything he says has meaning.” She reminisces about the large Orc.

“He might be an oddity; most books about the Orcaltitan tell us that they are minor catastrophes waiting to happen.” The Teacher said, leaning toward Lin.

“That’s the beauty of it. I met all those strange people because I left here.” She said with pride, but it turned sour. The Teacher pats Lin on the shoulder, feeling her sadness.

“Sorry for your loss. Fourteen seemed like a good man.” The Teacher said, swirling her spoon. Lin moved on from him; she had too. Now there was another that she loved, more sisterly than romantically. She shakes her head, swiping the rest and placing it down on the white table. She bows in respect for the Teacher, being the one person in this hellhole worth a damn. She grabs the plate of steak and milk, ready to deliver it to “her.”

“Thanks for the tea, I hope we see each other again.” Lin said warmly as the Teacher waved goodbye. The slide door opened when she reached it, having a Jackalope male staring down at her with anger. Lin sighs and looks up, the Teacher feeling nervous from their meeting.

“So we did adopt a traitor back into our ranks, hello Twenty-six.” Forty-four said with an angry huff.

“Who are you again?” She tilted her head with sarcasm, making him snarl.

“Do as you like, but the doctors are saying that they’ll give you to me as a token of my service.” He licks his lips, liking how much Lin has grown in certain areas. She passes him, not looking at him with a set of hollow eyes.

“ Sure, I just have to warn you that I’m not a virgin anymore.” This line pissed the Jackalope off, making him swing at Lin. She didn’t flinch; another Centalope protected her. Forty-four cowards from the smaller Centalope male, as the Black Rabbit showed his aura.

“Move along, she has an important task. Do you understand?” Twenty-seven told the large rabbit, making him walk away. Lin looks at her baby brother as he passes by her. He has hollow eyes, with all hopes and dreams strangled out of him. He didn’t save her because she was his sister, he saved her because she was useful.

“It’s okay, I have a new sibling.” She thought, walking down the corridor.

“As long as she has a spot in this hellhole, she’s safe from the coming end. I’ll gladly become a villain to save her. She will feel pain, but she will live. Tulee will be with me forever; no one is taking her away from me.” She thought with the hollow eyes she grew to wear.
