Chapter 1

For the coming exam, Sophie and JT were studying in the university library.
The library was spacious and well equipped.
They were tackling rather complicated questions about contemporary law.
Sophie had always been good at various exams in every subject.
JT was in awe of his beautiful friend.
They had been good friends since they first met at the university orientation.
Both of them came from similar public high schools.
They really hit it off even though they came from different backgrounds.
“I’ve just finished,” Sophie said with a sigh of relief.
“Wow, let me see it for a sec,” JT said.
“No problem.”
Sophie handed her freshly finished notebook to him.
Then she rested her cheek on her hand.
She was lost in thought.

She is really beautiful, JT thought.
Her well‑organized, exquisite face had probably come from her mother.
She didn’t belong to any group at school, but her striking beauty was famous to everyone.
Many guys tried to ask her out after she entered university, but most of them gave up because of Kelly’s strong interference.
Even from a generous perspective, Kelly doesn’t look like a law‑abiding citizen.
When he resorts to intimidation, most preppy boys are terrified and scurry away.
“Sophie, thanks for your notes.”
JT returned the notebook to her.
Sophie smiled as she received it from him.
“Well, I’m heading to Pete’s apartment,” JT said, glancing at his wristwatch.
“How about you, Sophie?”
Her fair cheeks flushed.
“I promised Kelly. We’re going to spend some time together at a hotel."
Hearing that, JT felt a bit shocked.
His friend looked so girly and still somewhat childish.
“Wow…” JT murmured.
Sophie usually told him anything he asked about, without hiding it.
“But what about Mr. Cooper? Isn’t he worrying about you?”
Sophie hesitated.
“Kelly asked Dad about it, and Dad encouraged me to meet him outside.”
She paused, then looked at him.
“I love spending time with him, but sometimes I…”
“I sometimes feel unsettled, and I wonder why,” she explained simply.

JT wanted to advise her that it was too early for her to decide on her career.
She had told JT that she would like to be an ADA.
“Sophie, you’re really brilliant. As your friend, let me tell you this: you don’t have to rush into deciding your future.”

Kelly was waiting for Sophie by the fountain in the square.
He was wearing a black leather jacket, casually.
“Hi.”
Sophie walked up to him.
She was wearing a plaid shirt and slim jeans.
“You’re so cute,” Kelly praised her, wrapping his arm around her delicate shoulders.
His long fingers naturally combed through her long blonde hair.
Sophie seemed nervous.
“Hey, I’m so glad we can spend time, just the two of us.”

Sophie looked up and stared at his tall figure.
“Kelly.”
He bent down to her height and brushed her lips with his. He tried to part her lips with his strong tongue.
Sophie panicked and tried to avoid such a deep kiss on the busy evening street.
She modestly pushed against his flexible, toned chest.

His blue eyes were fixed on hers.
“Sorry, Sophie, I was just so happy to see you,” he apologized to his beautiful fiancée.
“Please forgive me.”
He put his wide hand around her delicate back.
“So… Sophie, I booked a cozy room at Motel 1185. Are you really okay with going there with me?”
Sophie’s fair, snow‑white face turned crimson.
Kelly saw her deep perplexity.
He hesitated at her reaction but dared to continue, “Sophie, I’m okay if you’re not in the mood today. I only want to stay with you.”
He placed his hand on her cheek.
“Let’s buy something to go and enjoy eating and chatting together.”
Sophie’s anxious look softened with relief.
“Sounds nice.”
She gave him a small, lovely smile.
“Well, let’s go.”
Kelly smiled, taking her hand.
They strolled past the food stands and bought various junk foods.
Then the two of them enjoyed eating their favorites in the cozy, clean room.
After they finished eating, Sophie slowly dozed off by his side.
Kelly watched her in awe, sipping his beer.
She had fallen asleep for a while, then woke up.
“I’m sorry, I’m really sleepy,” Sophie apologized.
“That’s okay.”
Kelly, who was cuddling her in his arms, stared at her intensely.
“I have a gift for you.”
Sophie was a bit perplexed.
Her birthday had already passed, and he had given her a beautiful engagement ring last week as a token of their engagement.
“Sophie, you’re always wearing simple underwear and bras like a student. So… I talked with Pete, and he introduced your friend JT to me. I bought some for you, based on his advice.”

Sophie felt shocked and ashamed.
Her underwear was something very private to Sophie.
The fact that he had looked at it and talked about it with others shocked her.
Kelly sensed how she felt and tried to explain.
“Of course, you’re lovely no matter what you wear, but I’d like you to wear something a bit sexier…”
He handed a paper bag to her.

Sophie froze.
Kelly had her hold the bag.
“Please put them on and show me how you look in them,” he begged.
Kelly was waiting for Sophie to come back from the bathroom.
After ten minutes, the door unlocked and opened, and Sophie stepped out.
She was wearing a gown.
“Sophie, please let me take a look,” Kelly groaned.
Sophie paused, her lovely face full of confusion.
She hesitated, suffering from shame. Finally, she opened her gown and showed Kelly her well‑proportioned, almost perfect body.
He sighed in awe.
Sophie was wearing white, well‑matched lacy bra and shorts. Her cute hips led into her long, slender legs.
“You are perfect,” Kelly uttered, slowly circling around her.
He was wearing only underwear.
Sophie grew afraid.
“Why did you undress?”
“Because that’s not fair to you.”
Kelly slowly touched her smooth shoulder. He gazed at her cute cleavage.
Sophie blocked his gaze from her.
“I… I’ve kept my promise, so I’ll put my clothes back on.”
But Kelly didn’t let her go.
“You don’t know how beautiful and attractive you are,” he said.
He put his arm around her smooth back and hugged her tightly.
“You’re handsome too,” Sophie retorted innocently.
He caressed her lovely cheek.
“You’re also always so gentle,”
He whispered, then bent down toward her and sucked on her lips.
Sophie tried to respond to his strong affection, but suddenly her mind went blank.
“Sophie!”
She felt she had lost consciousness for a moment.
When she regained consciousness, Kelly was stroking her hair gently.
He saw her open her eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he apologized, gently petting her cheek.
His blue eyes were full of remorse.
“I’m okay,” she replied.
She had put her gown back on over her underwear.
She tried to put him at ease, squeezing his hand. Then she realized he was almost naked, wearing only his underwear.

He wrapped her in his well‑toned, muscular chest. She stared absentmindedly at his tattooed skin and noticed again her own profile engraved on his chest.
“We’ll take a little rest,” He murmured, his hand gently closing her eyes.
His warm skin soothed her uneasy mind, and Sophie finally fell asleep.
Kelly watched her in admiration.
Her exquisite, shapely face, fair smooth skin, and long eyelashes…
Her sleeping face was really lovely,
and his heart was completely captured by her.
When she woke from her short, comforting sleep, Kelly was holding her in his arms, his eyes closed.
Sophie touched his cheek and gave him a soft peck.
Then she drifted back into her comfortable sleep.

When Kelly brought Sophie back to her dad’s apartment, it was already midnight.
Jay, who had been sitting in the living room waiting for his daughter to come home, looked relieved.
“Sorry, Jay… I dragged her around,” Kelly apologized.
“Anyway, come in,” Jay said, letting them in.
Sophie was still sleepy beside Kelly.
“Sophie, you go to bed,”
Jay said to her, patting her hand.
Sophie nodded and gave them a quick hug one by one.
Kelly gave her a hug back and kissed her on the head.
“Good night.”
After she retreated to her room, Jay asked him,
“Would you like some coffee?”
Kelly shook his head.
“No, I’m okay. I must go.”
“But you want to stay with her a little longer, don’t you?”
Kelly faltered. “Yes, but I’m okay. She has a lot of things to do besides me."
“You always take such good care of Sophie. I really appreciate that you’re with her.
Kelly, you can stay here anytime you want.”
Kelly felt surprised and looked at the good‑looking gentleman.
He contemplated his offer, then shook his head.
“I really appreciate it, but she needs time for herself. Maybe.”
Jay stared at the young lad with a serious attitude, which contradicted his mild words.

“Sure, but I have to live my own life if I want to spend longer time with my loved ones.”
Kelly looked at him again, modestly.
“She cares for me, and we’re engaged. That’s enough for me.”

Kelly was running his business at his store near the main entrance of the department store as a limited‑time pop‑up shop.
His shop was really popular with customers who visited the department store, and sales were good.
Kelly had been busy all day, but around midday the customer traffic slowed down, so he got a break.
He felt happy and grateful to Jay and Pete.
After a short break, he went back to work.
Looking around the spacious entrance hall with its glass ceiling, he noticed a very cute boy, in his late teens, watching him from the entrance.
The boy, a backpack slung over his right shoulder, approached his store.
Kelly watched the lovely boy browse his products for a while, and finally he picked up a lovely animal‑shaped ornament.
“I’ll take this,” the boy said.
His voice was really calm and sweet.
“Ten dollars,” Kelly replied shortly.
“But I’ll give it to you, and I’ll give you everything you want, including me.”
The boy’s fair cheeks turned light pink.
He modestly took off his cap, and his beautiful long blond hair fell down like a cascade.
It was Sophie.
Kelly stared at her with full affection.
Sophie said awkwardly,
“I… I thought you wouldn’t feel good if I visited your store as myself. So I disguised myself.”
Kelly smiled, warmed by her pureness.
“Well, then please assist me for the rest of the day. Or I’ll end up treating you to everything here.”
Sophie joyfully fished an apron out of her backpack.
Kelly let her step inside the booth.
“I’ll put your hair in a ponytail.”
Kelly gathered her hair and tied it into a ponytail with dexterity.
“Thank you.”
Sophie smiled.
