Chapte 1 "Discovery
Introduction
Ever since she was a child, Sally dreamed of seeing the world the way she imagined it—faraway cities, unfamiliar faces, and a life far different from the one she knew.
But as she grew older, those dreams began to feel more and more out of reach. It was as if the world welcomed everyone else while quietly shutting its doors on her. She often found herself wondering...
Was there a reason she could never reach the life she wanted?
Would those doors ever open for her?
Let's discover the answer through Sally's story.
Chapter One: Discovery
"Sally! Sally!"
"Yes, Dad?"
Her father smiled and pointed at a white hen inside a cage.
"Look at this hen. Isn't she beautiful?"
Sally's eyes lit up.
"It really is! Are we buying it?"
"We are," he replied. "Then we're going to your grandmother's house. We'll slaughter it there. It's a tradition that brings good luck."
"Okay, Dad."
Not long after, they arrived at her grandmother's house.
Sally stayed close to the hen, watching it with innocent curiosity. After a few minutes, she looked up at her father.
"Dad... are you going to slaughter it now?"
"Yes," he answered with a smile. "Are you excited?"
She nodded enthusiastically.
"I want to watch!"
"Then come with me."
She followed him up to the rooftop, completely unaware that the next few moments would become one of the most unforgettable memories of her childhood.
She watched silently as her father held the hen.
Everything around her suddenly felt still.
Then she saw it.
A single drop of blood.
Her heart skipped a beat.
The color drained from her face. Her breathing became uneven, and the world around her began to blur. The voices grew distant, as if they were fading away.
Everything went black.
...
"Sally! Sally! Wake up!"
She slowly opened her eyes and saw her father's worried face.
"Dad..."
"What happened? You just collapsed."
Her lips trembled.
"I... I saw the blood."
Her father looked at her in confusion as she continued to shake.
At that moment, no one realized that it wasn't just a child being frightened.
It was the beginning of a fear that would stay with Sally for years to come—and quietly shape the course of her life.
