THE MESSAGE I COULDN'T SEND

I don’t think I ever truly found the right words for what you meant to me. Loving you changed me in ways I can’t even explain. You were my first in so many ways—the first person I opened my heart to completely, the first person I felt deeply attached to, and the first person I trusted with parts of me I had never given anyone before.

Maybe that’s why letting go hurts this much.

I won’t lie and say this ending doesn’t hurt me, because it does—more than I can explain. No matter how hard I try to act okay, a part of me is still attached to you and still wishes things could have been different. I gave you a version of myself that was soft, genuine, and full of love, and that’s something I can never regret.

I know we came from two different worlds, and maybe love alone wasn’t enough to make things stay. But despite everything, I don’t regret the memories, the late conversations, the comfort, the laughter, or even the pain now—because it all came from something real to me.

I don’t hate you. I’m just sad that something that felt so real still had to end.

I just needed you to know that a part of me will always care about you quietly, even from a distance.

I hope life becomes gentle with you. I hope you find happiness, peace, and the kind of love that understands you fully. And maybe one day, when the pain is no longer this fresh, I’ll look back at us with more smiles than tears.

And if this is truly goodbye, then thank you for being a chapter of my life I’ll never forget.

Goodbye.
