Summary

“Whoa,” Ryan says all of a sudden. “So, are you two going to be dating now or something?” Ryan shut the fuck up! No! This really isn’t funny! Life, don’t you dare do this to me right now! Hi, my name's Gage. I'm a normal thirteen-year-old boy with average grades, an obsession with games, and a little less social than most. I know. I sound pretty boring, right? Why would you want to read a story about me? Well, how I met my "girlfriend," Cassidy, is probably one of the weirdest things to happen to me. Cassidy's the super popular, tomboy transfer student who can knock the teeth out of any boy's mouth, no problem. Yeah, she terrifies me. How did I end up dating her, you ask? I have no idea. All I know is that I want out of it and with all of my teeth, if possible.

Prologue

I reach my hand out to my teacher, and she gives me two slips of paper; one is a hall pass, and the other is a note she wants me to give to a teacher downstairs. I’m probably one of the few boys in this period she expects to make the run and come right back. Being quiet makes you one of the “good students” in teachers’ eyes nowadays. I take both papers and head out the door.

Once I get into the hallway, I take out my cellphone to check the time. I can’t believe it’s only ten thirty-two. Lunch isn’t even for another whole hour. I can’t stand the drawl of my fourth-period teacher. It’s hell.

I huff then get to walking towards the heavy steel door on the other side of the hall that leads downstairs. My feet drag behind me as I untangle my earbuds.

Before I even get halfway down the hall, the door that leads to the stairwell is pushed open, and the sound of sneakers squeaking against the tile floors echoes throughout the empty halls. I slow my walking for a second to see who it could be that’s in such a rush.

A blonde girl turns the corner and comes speeding down the hallway. Her hair is really long, but it doesn’t look like she ever does much with it. She looks as if she just rolled out of bed. Her bangs are so long and messy, they cover her eyes.

While I’m staring, she races toward me. I tense up once she grabs my wrist and starts to pull me.

She places a finger to her lips then leads me to the bathrooms; the girls’ bathrooms, specifically.

I have no words.

The girl pushes me into one of the stalls and gets in with me. She locks the door behind her then covers my mouth before I can say anything.

“Cassidy!” I hear a female shout into the bathroom.

The petite girl with me puts her hands on my shoulders before jumping up and wrapping her legs around my waist.

I quickly put my hands up where she can see them.

Her cheek presses against mine as she leans in toward my ear and whispers, “Say anythin’, and I’m breakin’ both ya legs.”

“DeeDee! Did you find her?” a different voice from the earlier one says.

The girl who’s still around me buries her face into my neck.

I shut my eyes as tight as I can. My heart is beating way too fast against my chest, and the rest of my body is overheating. I was not mentally or physically prepared for this kind of contact with a girl today.

“No, it doesn’t look like she’s in here.”

Please, please, do not let this girl figure out what’s going on in my pants right now!

“Why do you think she ran off?”

She’s so close. I can feel her breathing on my neck.

“Don’t worry about it. It’s our turn to eat lunch with her, anyway.”

Does this make me a pervert?

“Yeah, you’re right.”

Of course, this makes me a pervert! Oh, my god. Can I get suspended for this?

“Come on. Let’s go.”

My mom and sister will never look at me the same again.

The blonde girl lets me go, and as soon as her feet touch the ground, she runs off.

...Why?

That’s all I want to ask. But I can’t. I kind of have the problem of being in the girls’ bathroom with a tent set up in my pants to worry about right now.

Tatouie: There wasn’t anything I didn’t like except maybe more of a finality to the European Charter that was up to no good. I feel like they wouldn’t have left so quietly. Otherwise loved the story, great rhythm can’t wait to read more books.
