Summary

sometimes you run into people who change you for the better, who make your life seem priceless and perfect, but that’s only sometimes. this isn’t a love story, it’s more of a ruination. so if you can’t accept that the female and male lead wont end up together, then this probably isn’t the story for you. this is not going to have a happy ending, at least not the type you’re hoping for. this story will deal with bullying, self harm, suicidal thoughts, drugs, and violence, if you are sensitive to any, I advice you stop reading. also, as implied, i know how i want this story to end. nothing you say or do, will make me change the ending to the story. i want to write something realistic, which is why the ending is not up for debate. above all, i hope y’all enjoy my work.

Prologue

Cole Anderson and Frannie Hall were always on and off, but they’d never been off for more than two weeks, nor had Cole been with anyone else during that time. But in one night, both those things came true. Cole was throwing his annual end of school party, two weeks after school ended, and three weeks after he’d broken up with Frannie. Although, that was something no one, except Frannie, knew. But a quarter before eleven Cole went upstairs and didn’t come down until a quarter after one. Some make up sex, was what was crossing through everyone’s mind. But those thoughts vanquished when Frannie walked in the front door when Cole had just come down. When her eyes landed on him, she made a run for the stairs. Cole beat her to it, his arm around her waist prevented her from going up and seeing who had put the final nail in the coffin of their relationship.

“Out” he yelled above the music “Everyone get the hell out” The music stopped, and so did everyone else. “Don’t make me say it again, get the hell -

“No” yelled Frannie, trying to push herself away from him. “Stay, stay and watch me beat the hell out of the slut he just slept with.” Cole raised her hand at her, but it never stoke. The house was so quiet a pin could drop. Some of Cole’s football buddies took Frannie away from him, but before she was out of his sight. He spoke,

“I meant it Frannie. We’re done. And if you ever call her a slut again you’re going to wish you never met me” There was so much anger in his voice, anger no one thought he could hold towards her. Not after everything they’d been through, not after everything he’d done to her. Cole had Frannie at his fingertips since we were in middle school, and everyone though Frannie had him in hers the second they became official freshman year. But scandal after scandal, it became evident she never did.

“I already do” And no one doubted their words, sure they’d been at each-others throats every breakup that we were all used to it, but this time was different. Frannie usually found out he slept with someone and then broke up with him, not the other way around. And while half of our minds were on whether this was truly the end to the power couple, the other half was on who had finally driven between them.

But the answer never came, at least not that night. Because when someone finally came down those stairs, they weren’t alone. The rest of the football team, and some female athletes came down in a group, in the front was none other than Elizabeth Monroe and Jace Morris. “No, no, I dare YOU to -” her words came to a halt when she saw the commotion. She took her shot and then Jace’s before pulling him by his tie and kissing him.

“Well we’re going to finish this..” she said trying to clear the air “...at his, but you’re welcomed to come and watch.”
