Chapter 1

Chapter 1 Meeting For The First Time

I woke up suddenly and fast. “Eah tostón! It’s already 7:30! I have to get a really quick shower.”

I get up from my bed and go straight to the bathroom taking my clothes off in the process.

When I finish, I walk to my closet and start looking for an outfit. “Now...lets wear something casual cause I’m very late.”

I put on a white crop top with a jacket, high-waisted jeans and white convers. On my hair I make a high pony tail and head down stairs. I grab a protein bar and head to school.

“Bye mom, see you later! Love you!” I yell to my mom getting out of the house.

“Bye sweetie, have a nice day love you too!” Mom yells back just as I close the door.

Wow! This place is huge! The school I was in before was really small and everyone knew each other. This is going to be an exciting change of scenery.

I was so distracted looking around me that I didn’t see where I was going and I bumped into someone. “Ouch!” I yelp and land on the floor.

I look up to get lost in fiery, hazel orbs, they are so beautiful. I snap out of my trance to take a good look at the owner of such fascinating eyes. The owner was such as beautiful as his eyes, he has long, light brown hair, and light skin. He was muscular but not in the exaggerated way, just how I like it.

Khyle’s POV:

“Tch, sorr-” When I look down a see a beautiful being. She has dark hair and exotic green eyes, she has a little more meat that other girls but that just makes her even more attractive. She is slightly taller than most girls making her thick legs look deliciously longer. Damn! If only I didn’t have a reputation to maintain. “Sorry not sorry, next time see were you are going.” I say faking a laugh because for some reason I wasn’t happy that I did that, I can’t say the same for my friends though.

Catalina’s POV:

Too bad his personality doesn’t match his looks, as always. “Rude much?” I ask the jerk while giving him a dirty look.

“Whatever. Let’s keep going guys.” He says with a smug smirk on his face. Oh, how I want to wipe it off his face right now. With a punch maybe? Or no better, with a kick in the-

His friends interrupted my kind thoughts by grumbling and saying things like ‘Did you see how big she was!?’ My eyes got watery and I just wanted to get to class. You see, I got self-esteem issues and comments like that are the cause.

I find my classroom and enter the class. The teacher assigned us seats and guess what? The jerk had to seat next to me! In the other side was a bubbly looking girl with baby blue eyes and red hair. It was so amazing how her eyes could be so blue.

“Hi! I’m Summer what’s your name?” The red head says in a chirpy tone.

“Hi! I’m Catalina but you can call me Cat! Nice to meet you by the way!” I respond in the same tone.

“Nice to meet you too!” She replies.

“Can I be with you, like all day cause I’m new here and I don’t know anyone? Well, now you.” I say chuckling.

“Of course!” She says grinning like a child.

“Good, thank you!” I say also smiling.

Just then the teacher entered the room and started the class.

“Hello students! I’m Mrs.Snow if you didn’t know yet and I’m going to be your English teacher for this semester.” Mr. Snow says.

I spent all the day with Summer. We got to know each other really well and by the end of the day we felt like we have known each other for our whole lives.

“Do you want to go to my home and meet my mom and everything?” I ask Summer excitedly.

“Sure, but let me call my mom first.” She says using the same tone.

“Ok.” I say and wait patiently.

After she called her mom we got inside my car and drove away to my house. All the way there we sang to the different songs that played on the radio, well I wouldn’t use the word sang to describe what we were doing but, oh well.

“Mom I’m ho_” When I enter a see the gorgeous jerk I bumped into back at school and some other woman talking with my mom in the kitchen.

“Oh, hi darling. This are our front door neighbors Elena Jones and Khyle Jones.” My mom says with a smile.

“WHAT!?” I scream, could this get any worst? “I mean, oh ok.” I mumble trying to hide my outburst.

“Why? Do you two met each other already?” Mom asks eying me suspiciously.

“Yeah kind of...” I say letting out a puff of air annoyed. Like honestly, of all the houses there is his had to be the one in front of mine. Great, just great.

“Ooh really? Why is that?” Mom says smiling. Oh no, this is bad news.

“Because we bumped into each other earlier.” The stupid guy sitting in my kitchen table, also known as Khyle, says scratching the back of his neck. Of course he is not going to say the part where he treated me rudely and let his little friends laugh at me.

“Yeah.” I force out.

“Mrs. Jones and Khyle are staying for dinner tonight ok?” Mom says.

“Okay.” Of course I wasn’t okay with it but was I going to argue with my mother? That’s right, no. “Mom by the way this is my friend from school Summer.”

“Oh! Hi, nice to meet you.” Mom says smiling warmly at her.

“Nice to meet you two Mrs. Jiménez.” Summer says politely with a smile.

“Please, call me Lisa. Are you staying for dinner too?” Mom asks Summer.

“Sure, thanks!” She replies smiling.

“Your welcome my darling!” Mom says and gets up to prepare the food.

He is so distracting, I hate guys like him. It’s true that he is handsome and that’s the problem, but why is he staring at me so much? Mom, Summer and Mrs.Jones are talking so now is my chance.

“What are you looking at?” I ask with a rised eye brow.

“At your ugly face.” He says calmly, this jerk.

“Then why are you staring at it if its ugly.” I say in a ins’t-it-obvious tone.

“Because I want too. Have a problem with that babe?” He says with a smirk on his face.

“First of all don’t call me babe, second of all yes I do have a problem with it.” I say getting annoyed with him.

“Could you tell me what the problem is?” He asks casually.

“Yes, I don’t like people staring at me.” I imply simply.

“Oh so that’s the problem. Does it look like I care if you like it or not?” He challenges.

Catalina, breath in and breath out, in and out. Calm down, I can’t. “Ugh, fine do whatever you want.”

“Whatever I want...?” He says with a perverted look on his face.

“What a pervert!” I exclaim quite loud.

“Catalina!” Mom scolds.

“Sorry mom.” I mumble. Khyle laughs and I glare at him.
