Chapter 1
I stood up and walked into my roommate and I’s shared bathroom and ran a comb through my platinum blonde hair and hastily brushed my teeth, groaning as Zachary walked into the bathroom to brush his teeth and I reached over to grab the towel I had set down to dry my face off with.
“Hey Jacob,” Zachary mumbled in that groggy, deep morning voice that makes the butterflies in my stomach go crazy, ok we may be more than roommates.
“Hey babe,” I smile, running my fingers through his fur. Zachary purred and nuzzled his head into my neck, bending his knees to reach me.
“Go grab your collar babe, you know you don’t fair well with snow,” Jacob ran off and came back with his red collar and leash, “good boy Jacob!" I praised him and put it on his pale white neck.
"It's a little too tight," Jacob whined and I loosed it, receiving a small nod saying it's good. I grabbed his leash and he followed me out of the house since we're both already dressed and I took him to the vets office and he hissed.
"No," I scolded him and his pale orange ears pinned down to his head and his tail went between his legs. He hates being scolded, but he has to go to the vet.
"I don't like the vet!" Jacob protested and I hugged him.
"I know, but I don't like you hurt," I reasoned while pulling him into the veterinary clinic and signing him in.
"Noooo~" he whined, causing me to lightly pull on his collar.
We sat in the hybrid section while waiting, so the special hybrid vet could see him. The nurse looked at us and I stood up, Zachary clinging to my chest and I carry him in.
"Hello Zachary," the vet said, "looks like we need to update your shots," Zachary screamed when the vet said this and I rocked him, "also sir," the vet said turning to face me, "are you sure you don't want us too neut-"
I cut him off, "how many times do I need to tell you I don't want him neutered?"I snarled at the vet, Zachary then kissed my neck in a calming manor.
"I'm sorry sir," he grabbed Zachary from me and forced me out of the room so he could give Zachary his shots and stuff. I reluctantly sat in the waiting room, my knee bouncing anxiously as I waited for Zachary to walk out.
