Midnight academy

I step I step off onto the curb from the city bus that I've taken and I head down to where my bags were being kept being so far from home so far from what I've known it's hard I already miss my mother and my aunt and I touched the locket that is so securely around my neck I think of my mother a mother who Harris working as hard as my father but her death came at the hands of her boss I thought that coveted only her dedication to working for her smart and great would know that particular man coveted her body also and even though my mother perished trying to save but left she had herself I'm here to make sure that the rest of my family has a great future my father Cameron McNair Ashley Christian they are the most important people in my life are my support system the reason why the last year at the end of the semester my first year of high school that I decided to apply for a grant scholarship to them one of the most prestigious academies throughout North America midnight academy is so prestigious in history is great it was built in the early 1800s burnt down during the civil war and rebuilt again after it has a great history but I know some of the story has to be made up because this small-town cannot hold that many mysteries so when I got the letter at the beginning of Summer and I will be attending this prestigious academy I was elated my father and my aunt spent a lot not only celebrating my accomplishment but preparing for my departure so as I walked for the end of the block I look around and know from what I read in my entrance package in the emails I received from the principal mrs. Cavern that I should have a car here to pick me up but as I look up and down the busy street I don't see anything mini cars different makes and models in different sizes and different colors they look nothing like the car that I know it was supposed to be a black SUV and I see 9 which is really weird cuz that particular kind of car is very very common there's nothing so I pick up my cell phone from out of my breast pocket of my coat and try to see if I can call the front office to see where the car isand I actually get the principal on the phone she tells me that the car could not be found because the occupants of the car that was supposed to be my tour guides my first week at school has taken the car and drove down to the coast I ask her is this normal when can I get a ride how am I supposed to get to school she says of course it's normal that's what students do is their car is not a school SUV vehicle so they're free to do whatever they want to with their own property at this point all I can tell you is either get a Uber or cab to come up to the school and we'll get you seen about when you get here I take a long heavy brush I understand I get it it's just a really really bad inconvenience for me okay thank you is in one going to be there to meet me when I get to the the front Gates she says they'll let you in to show your ID and I'll be waiting for you at the front step in the promenade as we hang up I look around the pull up the Lyft app on my phone go to my destination where I am at this point in time and weight two seconds later adding comes on my phone saying that my ride is no more than 5 minutes away and there is like traffic I grit my teeth not even a first day there and I'm already late I've been there 45 minutes to go to the bus no that blessed stop so so people can go and take a piss I get inside and he puts in the driver puts in my luggage in the backseat I am so nervous angry anxious frustrated to every word that I'm saying I can't put into words what I'm really feeling other than complete and utter lost I'm just in a pit of being lost it takes two hours more just to get to the front gate as we pull up I give the driver my ID and he answered over to the security guardcopper iron gates slowly pull apart and it's kind of crazy cuz the school's been there since the revolution and yeah it's hello the cakes they don't squeak if there's not a sound is just a smooth entrance and we pull up to the front happy pastor trees pastor buildings that look almost Victorian style are many different styles of buildings from you can clearly see which ones are the dorms which ones are the schools you have a tech building I can clearly see from the pamphlet in have a sports center you have a regular name center from different grades from 9th grade through 12th each has their own building in cluster buildings around you have a philosophy and a mathematics for each grade is so much more than just a regular high school campus a regular prep school or regular academy this is Optimus at its best this is what the rich pay for their children to come and learn and higher grandeur is awesome is beautiful it's wood brick buildings in scaffoldings and gargoyles and ponds and gardens and beautiful breathtaking I guess when I see the front entry hall of theare the administrative building I see the principal as she strolls out she is a very tall slender woman beautiful features you can tell that her hair is long even though is in a very severe bun in the back of her head beautifully Arch eyebrows he's caramel colored eyes and just seem to disappear into your very soul she's stern-looking but you can tell that she has a very pert nose or shape lips and the very visual pristine control there is nothing that this woman could not do that I can just put anybody else on edge but I see watches as we pull up to the to the building and I slide out the driver puts my bags at the side me and she smiles is not a cruel smile it's not a fake smile but a genuine smile speaks of sympathy and understanding is comforting and this Saturday is hurting at the same time all of this in just a space of three minutes I can say I walk up to her and held my hand out stretch as I look she is pretty much a foot-and-a-half taller than me and that's saying much cuz I'm literally 5 foot even but that doesn't disturb me I shake her hand and introduce myself she smiles again and she introduces herself in person this is a great pleasure for you to be joining us here I will take you into the ministrator building to your counselor and we will sit down and have a talk there is much we have to say I will get a footman to bring in your bags to your room as he passed through the corridors inside the administrative building he passed suits of armor warm earthy tones from the wall hangings the paintings that portray other head Masters and Mistresses present George Washington on down to where I can Obama I also see that the carpet is a warm futile red color that has intricate designs for squirrels and different types of patterns along it is stress throughout the whole past doors and offices and you can definitely see that they took great care and that they took great care and preserving the opulence of the building from this old world history fill to the architecture that's clearly being redone at least twice though it still has its old grainworks embedded into it the woodwork is pretty much until mostly original but updated versions where needed to be there is low murmurs you can hear from each door that we passed are we come to the end of the hall there is a great oak door with a varnish car finish the carvings as I look closer to it has an interesting sea of a family crest which is a shield a stable and a longsword a griffin with a crown on its head

I turn to ask Miss Swift whose family crest is this She turned to give me a side I look with a smirk on her face it's not an evil smirk I don't get that attention from her not since I've met her anyway.
