Prologue
“Every night I convince myself that tomorrow will be different, but it never is”
Deep in the forest, filled with trouble, no pathway leading to salvation.
She runs with no direction in mind; running away from the snarling of animals.
She does not look back; an unreasonable reason, all horror movie starts and ends when the victim looks back to see the killer, tripping to her inevitable end.
She speeds up, zooming across the undiscovered tracks. She jerks to a stop, standing on the edge of a cliff.
The spray of the water sprinkling on her face and bare skin. She closes her eyes, enjoying the momentary bliss.
The growls of the animals and the shouts of men pricks the atmosphere. She looks down at the raging water, whispers a small prayer and jumps.
The last she hears the curses of the men and bones breaking and a soulless howl shattering the tranquillity to pieces.
