Rain on the Highway

Everyone was present in the IoBM’s Media Science department auditorium and principal was delivering his boring speech and later after he announce the project of the university that was named “Unrated Stories” and only 6 people were selected for this project .project was funded by one of the great production company . a office Boy came to the principal with a jar full of chits in which students name were written

Principal ; “Only Six Student will be qualify for this project now let see who lucky student are they”

Everyone had starting praying in their heart for the project and everyone was waiting for the principal to take out the chits and announce the student result and after five minute of break principal said; “So students get ready for the result”

Principal take the one chit and open up and announce the name ; “Ahmed Raza” everyone clapped and Ahmed Raza go on the stage and greets with principal. Principal again take one chit and announce; “Ali Abdullah” and now in there is only one chits for boys and principal again take and said ; “Faraz Haider” the principal very welcome all three boys and now there was a turn for girls for the project Office boy changed the jar and principal take chits and it was name of “Kainat “ and other name was “ Esha“

And in last chit and principal announced ; “Namrita” Principal then said them to go to the department head and get every single detail about the project and get to the work. Principal went back to his office and everyone was now greeting the groups and going. The auditorium was now empty and only six was there they all great to each and then went to the department head. They had a huge conversation in the way because from auditorium to department head office there was a long way they all introduce them self and get to know each other. And then they go to the department head office Ali Abdullah knock the door and said ; “May I Come In Sir” and the other voice yes please they all go to the room and Faraz Haider Said ; “Hi , Sir we are selected for underated stories program and principal guided us to go to department head” Mr.Kamal Was the department head and said to them ; “Oh Very welcome my boys and first of all congratulation and good luck for you program , now listen this program is funded by the reel life production. And is the biggest program in the university for 2019 .” and then sir take the paper out of program that was the guide to project give one to everyone and said; “Now very carefully listen the rules. There are some rules for the program.

rule number 1 :) story should not be out of the province that is sindh

Rule number 2 :) story should be older than 2000

Rule number 3:) the filmed story do not contain any real person or the name of the real person

And the last one :) if in case anyone storyteller is not giving the permission to film their story then no one will force them otherwise the you all will be out of the project

Understand boys and girls .” he added ; “No you have listen the rules and now your first work is to get the story get the permission letter of the story teller turn it into script and get back to me . then there will be selection for cast that will I do and later you will be provided equipment to do the film. Your film will be screen in all universities across Pakistan and if everyone like it then it will be weather screen to cinema or will be uploaded on Netflix.” He then tell them that they should start their work and get the script ready within 3 months.

They all leave and go to the cafeteria where they all start to planning the project setup . Esha was the girl with curly hair and tall height with beauty and good nature . most of the time she wears the Yellow T-shirt and black paint. Kainat was the most decent girl in the group always wearing stylish clothe she has normal height with straight hair and her voice was very beautiful. Namrita was the childish girl in the group she was also youngest in the group and very good and kind hearted girl in the group however she did not have any brother so she start calling her group’s boys brother and girl’s her sister and everyone cares her a lot.

Ahmed Raza was an artistic boy with great skills of photography. He was a tall guy with attractive looks . Faraz Haider was a simple guy with good looks and most funny in the group but he was hiding something inside because most of the time he was seen crying or awake at night looking at stars and talking to himself many time. Ali Abdullah was the simple and quite guy in the school was elder in the group and was good looking and only guy who was little bit mature in all of them

They all then start to plan and suggest to visit the places where they could get the story for their project. They all were unaware about the story which they are going to get for this project. They ordered the coffee in cafeteria and then they all had just a little conversation and plan to leave tomorrow for the places Kainat suggest them to visit the mental hospital as she was thinking that no one could ever be psycho without having unusual circumstances in the life . Ahmed Raza agrees to the suggestion of the kainat. After about half hour discussion the decision was made Faraz Said, “we will go to the to the mental hospital i think that kainat is correct we would get something there” kainat added , “Yeah Guys we sure get something there. And both are in the same route , we shall leave tomorrow very early in the morning”

They all leave to their houses where they start packing for the journey it was about 8:00 P.M when everyone has packed everything and are now just waiting for the morning

Thus it was the faraz’s first meeting with kainat so he had a very great impression with her he also had her number . faraz was making the cup of tea in his kitchen . faraz was living in the House he had rented and his family was living in the dadu. He take the cup out of the cupboard and fill it with the coffee then sat on the chair in the lounge and take out his phone open up Whatsapp Messenger and check kainat last seen which was just 1 minute ago. He was having positive feelings about her. Kainat was living with her cousin in the house they have rented. While her family was living in the sukkur city.

Kainat opens Whatsapp messenger start chatting with her younger sister. Faraz takes out the phone when she check the whatsapp he see kainat’s status was active now . so try to write her something but then he left. And went to watch the tv. It was the 11:00 when faraz checked the whatsapp and kainat’s status was 1 minute ago and suddenly changed to active now. He writes her Message “HI” And tapped on send. Kainat was about to sleep but when she receive message HI from faraz she reply her back. And then they start chatting with her

Faraz: “What about the plans tomorrow”

Kainat : “Yeah I have packed everything and looking forward for the plans”

Faraz: “Ok I think it is now late and I am about to sleep so meet you tomorrow”

Kainat,: “Well, OK. good night!”

Faraz: “Good night Kainat”

They all sleep. It was the midnight when Faraz suddenly fall asleep. Faraz was having flashback about his past in his mind the time when his father was murdered by his mother. Then he go to the kitchen take out the water from the fridge and then drink the glass went back to the sleep. Kainat was awake till now and was reading the book. However else in the group was sleeping and after reading the few pages kainat also went to sleep it was early in the morning 5:30A.M. Kainat is wake up she go to the kitchen on the left from the bedroom of her cousin “Ifrah”. Kainat made two cups of the coffee one for herself and other one for ifrah. Kainat set on the chair in the living room and take out her phone and she was checking the emails and notification while drinking coffee. After this all get a shower then take her bag put in the car. Leave for the college where they all will together leave for the Hyderabad.

Faraz’s house was in the same route of the college so kainat thought to take Faraz with her. She reaches there stops the car and ring the bell of Faraz’s house. Kainat feels something unusual peoples around her. She sees an old woman who was continuously looking at her. First, she ignored him but later she realizes that it was not usual as she thought. A moment later when she lowers her gazed and saw there again the old women disappears.

Suddenly gates open and Faraz was standing their wearing the black paint and white t-shirt. Faraz was really surprise seeing kainat at her gate. First of all, there they all were quite but then kainat break the silence.

Kainat, “Hi! How Are You”

Faraz, “Fine And u… I Am Really Surprise Seeing you here. I Thought You All Have reach the college and I thought I am late”

Kainat Smile and said, “No Not Yet But, I thought you home is in the way so i should take you to the college.”

Faraz feels happy and agrees to the kainat. Kainat said to Faraz, “Should we leave” they both leaves for the college. Kainat has Toyota Hilux Vigo which was the perfect for their journey. Kainat then drives the car to college. In the way they have conversation about their background and family information. Kainat was a girl with clean past and family background however faraz was not. Faraz said to kainat, “Life is not the way we live Life is the way where time takes us. You All are very lucky that you have everyone friends, family, best friends. But I am not all like you guys.” Faraz had tears in her eyes. Kainat also get emotional listening to him. Faraz Then Add, “Sometimes You cannot remember a single thing that had happened a hour or day ago. But whenever you try to forget something it can take you a whole life but in the end you cannot forget it.”Faraz take a long breath and looks straight. Kainat was also emotional and was focusing on the road.

Faraz then tell his story, “I Was 4 when my mother kill my father and then married to the millionaire businessman who hates me but with the time when I turn 18 I left that house and came here. I started a small business which helps me to earn and pay for house and university expenses. I will continue my business to grow it after the graduation.” Faraz had tears in his eye telling her the stories. Kainat was also emotional. Faraz then added, “My past always hurts me. I surely say that I will never marry women like my mother and will never forget my past.” Kainat realize that they had reached college, park the car in the parking lot and then went to department head office where other group members were present. Kainat wiped Faraz’s tear and then for the moment everything has stopped for faraz. Faraz was just looking at the kainat how she done it. For some seconds they both just looked at each other and after few seconds kainat looks down and Faraz start moving toward department head. Kainat also start going with faraz.

Faraz controls his feeling because after so many years he have shared his feelings and someone cared him like this. At the door faraz take a long breath controlled his feeling and open the door and loudly said Hello To everyone. Mr.Kamal stand from his chair and said to the group , “So My Boys Good Luck! For the project and hope you will do the best” they all then came out from the department head office kainat said, “Ok Guys get to the Road I take the car.” Kainat then went to the parking lot and they all reached the gate. Kainat was continuously thinking about the faraz his story. Kainat then reach the parking lot and sit in car. Start The Engine and then Drive car to the road where they all were standing. She Again see that everyone was talking to each other but Faraz was still sad and feeling happiness she thought that she had made a mistake by let Faraz tell his story. She thought this has made Faraz sad. But then she stop the car she was continuously looking at the Faraz who was quite. Everyone than place their bags in the back and sit in the car faraz sit with Kainat on front seat. He was still looking sad. Kainat try to ignore this and she start the engine and drive to car to the highway. And after sometime Faraz was normal and kainat take a long break and realize that now everyone is fine.
