What is your opinion?

Amusing idea

"Humor is one of the more difficult genre's to write, but I think you can pull it off. I also enjoy the style of your writing. I'm not sure the kids would have a party the someone was murdered at the house, but that's the only issue I have with this work. Then again, what do I know about those crazy kids? Great work!"

A quick and interesting read

"Sometimes funny is not just funny, it's seriously funny. I believe that it's really difficult to make someone laugh. Well, this is a piece of hilarious horror. I appreciate the imagination that goes behind this work. And I definitely look forward to reading more of this stuff."

Enjoyed This!!

"Well - I really enjoyed this very much! The whole idea of a shared haunting really intrigues me. I thought you did a wonderful job; and I really liked the idea of hearing from the first ghost's point of view. It would be interesting to read more about these two - and the ghost-busters that infiltrate the house. I would definitely like to know their names; history; and how things work out. I think this is a great start - if you decide to go further. Thanks for sharing this!!"

"The Caretaker" Review

"Hello! This was quite the interesting story. I loved the irony presented in both the summary and opening paragraph. It made me laugh! I've a few revisions for you to consider, though I believe that they are mostly stylistic suggestions and could be disregarded. In Paragraph 2, you wrote: “And then yesterday she showed up – erupting out of the bloodstained body…” Now, I've seen you properly use dashes at other points in the story, so I believe this was just a minor mistake. In this instance, you used a hyphen instead of a dash. It's an easy fix-- just swap the hyphen for a proper dash, as so: “And then yesterday, she showed up—erupting out of the bloodstained body…” Later on in Paragraph 2, you also said that: “I could actually feel the force of her anger and it startled me. The first time I’d experienced a physical impact in 172 years.” My Word Processor doesn't think that the second sentence is a fragment, but I can't help but believe that it is one. Again, this may just be a reflection of our different writing styles, but having this sentence structured like this makes it sound awkward to me. Here are a couple suggestions for remedying this: “I could actually feel the force of her anger, and it startled me—the first time I’d experienced a physical impact in 172 years!” Or “I could actually feel the force of her anger, and it startled me. It was the first time I’d experienced a physical impact in 172 years!” These next two errors are the same, they just happen in different paragraphs. In Paragraph 2, you wrote: “Uh, oh, I thought.” And in Paragraph 9, you wrote: “Double uh, oh!” In my experience, you don't need to put a comma in between the "uh" and "oh", you can simply write it as "uh oh". Overall, I enjoyed your story. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors! --Rae W."

funny

"It would honestly work as a standalone just as chapter 1. It's a little silly, and it was confusing to me that wait- the person insists that ghosts don't exist, and yet is one xeirself? It was funny though."

Fascinating and Creative

"This is a fascinating and creative piece of work. It sounds more interesting than some paranormal movies I've watched. I think the reason why the guy died could be added in after the death of the woman who joined him. They could have a discussion about their deaths."
