Page1. Vonzell had been preparing for this day all summer long.. I go to school tomorrow mommy, Vonzell asked? mommy simply replied no Vonzell, as the look of discouragement set up his tiny little face. Awe man when do I go mommy he asked in a whimpering and sighing voice! You don’t go to school til Monday Vonzell, she said! As his little face lit up for a second and then the question came again is tomorrow Monday ma, no Vonzell she replies a sigh within him was once again was let out, but ma when is Monday? Before she could reply Vonzell begin to ramble on with I wish. I wish today was Monday, I wish I can go to school today, I wish I could meet my teacher, I wish I could meet my new friends today and we can play on the play ground together all day I wish today was Monday mommy.

Time for bed Vonzell, mommy blurted out okay mommy, Vonzell replied! Say your prayers Vonzell okay mommy As he closes his eyes and begin to recite the prayer mommy had previously taught him. Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray to the lord my soul to keep, them outta nowhere is tomorrow Monday mommy all mommy could do was laugh and answer with a polite gesture of no Vonzell and his reply was is Monday ever going to get here? Yes it will Vonzell now you just get some rest and when Monday gets here I’ll let you know! Okay? Okay mommy now goodnight mommy said and Vonzell replied goodnight mommy. As he turned over closed his small eyes and slowly fell asleep.

After a long and good night sleep Vonzell awoke. Looking around slowly gathering his little thoughts, he climbed out of bed and made his way to his mommy room. Mommy he called out. But she didn’t answer! because she was in the kitchen cooking his favorite breakfast Pancakes and bacon. Once he received no answer he slowly made his way to the kitchen seeing nothing but the back of his mom, hey ma,oh hey Tuga her name she has always called him. Good morning how did you sleep? She asked? Good he replied. That’s good as he made his way to her hugging her leg as he as always done on a daily basis. Is it Monday yet? He asked? No Vonzell!! Awe man is Monday ever going to get here? He said in a sighing voice, Yes Vonzell she replied in a reassuring voice to him, soon it will be Monday she told him, but how soon I wish it would hurry up! Vonzell said. It will be here when it get here today is Saturday so you have to wait a couple of days for Monday Vonzell. Mommy told him the look on his tiny face seem to just take him back a bit. He was so ready to take that first adventure to school, the ride that he was imagining would be a kool one and a fun one.
