Summary

2020, What can I say? I think everyone really wanted this to be our year, Sitting around a living room or bar with close friends, maybe even a lover, as we watched the clock count down, All laughing and shouting out the numbers in excitement as the shitty year of 2019 came to an end and hopefully a better start to a decade. Waking up the next day, with a hangover, isn't exactly a good start, but waking up and just feeling better, feeling the weight of the last shitty years rolling off of your shoulders. The saying "New year new me" I always thought was such an overused phrase for people who wanted to work out, or start eating healthier, just to go back to their old ways within a month. I don't know though something just felt different with this year, I couldn't tell what it was but it was in the air and I think everyone was feeling it, for everyone seemed to be happier, brighter, excited? Are those the right words. Ah I'm not sure. but I'm here to tell you it's the third month in and I'm sitting in a room right now writing this all down. I'm not sure if I'll make it.

Waking up the next day, with a hangover, isn’t exactly a good start, but waking up and just feeling better, feeling the weight of the last shitty years rolling off of your shoulders. The saying “New year new me” I always thought was such an overused phrase for people who wanted to work out, or start eating healthier, just to go back to their old ways within a month. I don’t know though something just felt different with this year, I couldn’t tell what it was but it was in the air and I think everyone was feeling it, for everyone seemed to be happier, brighter, excited? Are those the right words.

Ah I’m not sure. but I’m here to tell you it’s the third month in and I’m sitting in a room right now writing this all down. I’m not sure if I’ll make it.

I guess I’ll just start from the beginning, Just in case some how humanity makes it through this shit hole, use this for history one day, God I must sound crazy.

Well it started with memes. Things people my age use as humor when bad things happen, humor is what helped us ignore it, till it was too late. But soon enough the virus became a very real reality. What can I say I didn’t really believe it either. Till it started effecting my day to day life.

The Virus started in china. We as Americans believed it wouldn’t get to us, We for some reason have this thought in our minds that we are untouchable. Soon enough it did, started out as a couple cases, but then it got very out of hand, I think the most scary part at the start of it wasn’t the virus itself but the way people were acting. It was all for one. First come, First served. Because people refused to listen to what the law had to say, They said stay “inside” and everyone heard “stock up”. Even though lets admit, half the shit they got, wasn’t gonna help. I guess it doesn’t really matter now.

They told us the virus would only harm the older folks with health issues, and pregnant women. Travel was cut off. Staying inside was advised, to avoid human contact. China closed everything, no one in or out. They were testing vaccines, But soon the numbers went up for infected, and the numbers went even higher in death.

The virus was in every state the bigger cities got hit harder then the smaller towns outside the cities, That didn’t slow it down though. It shut the U.S down. Everyone was closing, except for fast food, And grocery stores.

That’s where we messed up. We should’ve closed everything down. Maybe we would’ve had a better chance, Maybe not. China did have the first dozen cases of the dead coming back to life, and they shut everything down.

Maybe man kind never had a chance from the start. This might be the way mother earth gave us the middle finger and evicted us.
