Summary

Acacia (uh-kei-shuh) was 9 when it happened. She lost it all. Her memory. One whole year. What could have happened to her that would make such an incredible loss? Now as a 15 year old, her parents still won’t trust her with the truth - to protect her - was what they had said. That is what pushed her to find out the truth about her past. Herself. She was done being innocent about this. She had had enough of the darkness. She was done with the fear of what ‘could have’ happened. But when she finds the truth, will she be brave enough to endure it?

Chapter one

13 year old Acacia Davis closed her eyes and tried to remember.

0

She shook her head. It was the same as usual. All she could remember was waiting for her Best Friend, Bexley, to finish getting a drink and to come back outside to finish their game of Volley Ball. And that was where her memory failed her.

0

She had no problem remembering anything before that. No. It was just the one year when she was 10 and a half to 11 and a half that she couldn’t remember.

0

What could have happened to me that would make me forget that much of my life? Acacia shook her head again - a nervous habit that she did a lot now.

0

And yet eveyone seemed to know all about her. She hated that. The stares. The whispers.

0

No one would trust her with the truth.

0

Thats when Acacia made up her mind. She didn’t know how she would find out about her past, but she would do everything in her power to be let out of the darkness. She wasn’t going to be innocent anymore.

Isabella: This book is relatively fast paced, good character development & interesting plot. As far as shifter stories go, it’s a little off the ‘norm’.
