Prologue
Seven years passed since Lily Dash died. Today, her name does not trend on Google search. The last big article on her appeared 2 years ago, on the fifth anniversary of her death. It talks about the results of an independent investigation of an independent journalist. Basally, the article states that Lily Dash was a spy and was killed by the CIA. It also features her rare photos.
A funny little piece of trash. I wonder who else, except the author and me, have read it? Maybe, two dozens of mentally unstable fans who truly believed in Lily Dash’s supernatural powers and still expect her resurrection, and probably, a bunch of first-year marketing students.
No wonder, marketers still remember her name. Lily Dash was a Marilyn Monroe of social media campaigns. She created unbelievably silly content, her business strategy was trivial, and her online personality was inconsistent. Yet, her blog was a bombshell. Her site got listed as a number one in the countdown of the fastest growing blogs. In those days, everyone seemed to be subscribed to Lily Dash’s Simple Magic.
She made it to the top seemingly overnight and suddenly died. After the investigation, the police stated that her death was an accident. Many fans believed it was a suicide. On the day of her death, Lily Dash deleted her site and the social media handles. Just a few hours after she erased her online personality, her analogue body was taken away by paramedics.
On the night she died, three people were in the room with Lily Dash. I was one of them. After, we gave our statements to the police. However, I lied.
Tonight I’m intended to tell the truth. I will post this text online as soon as it is ready. And then come what may.
