Mind-bending
"Absolutely amazing imagery. This kind of confusion is hard to write, but the author does a great job, and makes you believe it. Like the fever-dream that you never understand but desperately want to replay, this story kept me wanting more."
Dark Brilliance
"Get ready for a ride. Our mysterious MC is running for the bus to get to a party to meet someone special. But the bus route shifts as well as the narrator's memories, into a malicious dreamlike state. As the bus traverses the many landscapes of hell, the narrator comes to grips with some horrifying memories and guilt. I finished what has been posted at 18 chapters and I believe more is coming, and I honestly can't wait. I couldn't stop reading this. Couldn't stop. My eyes were glued to the screen as I tried to make sense of what was going on. Who is our MC? Who is the Jade Man? Where does the guilt stem from? Would crime could be so great that it led the MC to Charon? All the while, the story is thick and beautiful with dark prose that'll give you goosebumps. This author doesn't belong here. He belongs on the NYT bestseller list."
A horrifyingly beautiful piece of art
"Although I was quite confused by the plot of the story, the detailed descriptions make it seem as if I was in that "world", if it can be called one. The style is flowing, feels fast yet relaxing, pushing you onward but only with small nudges, just like the uncertainty that is presented in the story. It feels poetic. An amazing piece of art all in all."
Underated
"As I have mentioned before, I am a slacker but this story was just so interesting that it got me hooked right from the first chapter and I couldn't stop turning the pages. Even though horror stories are not my usual read but this book was something I would have regretted if I hadn't read it. Either it was because of the mysterious setting of the story or your amazing way of portraying it. I loved how your narrative flowed, so smooth and effortless like a stream of consciousness and it showed how much the writer was connected to the characters that he could grasp his emotions, his sufferings, his internal conflicts so realistically. I was amazed by the graphic details of the scenes, you definitely have your way of stringing words together in the most beautiful way. The suspense was well maintained throughout the story and now I am dying to know who was "him" who has not been named and what was his connection with the main character. There were few editing issues like rewriting the same word, missing out alphabets, but they were simply too minor to take a star away. Great job! I can't wait to read more! Like seriously, you have to update!"
Philosophical horror (aka the best kind)
"First I just have to say that I am not usually a horror reader, so the fact that I found myself interested in this is in itself a sign of your talent as a writer. Now as for the actual review... The greatest enemy humanity can ever confront is our own mind, and you've done an excellent job of portraying that. Whether the events taking place are literal or all occurring in the narrator's mind, or a combination of the two (and I could see it being any of those), it is a fascinating narrative with wonderful description and detail. I can actually picture all these warped dystopian things occurring, like something you might see in a movie. Now as this story looks like it's just getting started, it's okay that the plot isn't too well developed yet. We know that this person has a very personal connection with a "him" who has not been named, but we can conclude that he was very close to the narrator, and whatever happened to him may be part of the cause of the protagonist's dark visions while on the bus (which also seems to hold special significance to them). Other mysteries would include why the city is abandoned, what role the monster-like creatures from chapter 3 are playing in the story, and of course, what happened to this "him", and how to explain the protagonist's lurid visions. Again, I would not be surprised given how philosophical and deep this story is if it was all in his head, a mental prison that he keeps himself trapped in, unable to break free. But either way I am now intrigued and wonder what will happen next, so well done!"
