Dark. Dark is the first word I would use to describe that Place. That place should not have existed. I’m saying this because I went there, John Willey’s amusement park. It was all fun and games when me and my friends went there, but after a while, things changed. It turns out that the park has more than what meets the eye. This is its story.

“ Welcome to John Willey’s amusement park!” John said cutting a ribbon. Everyone cheered when he did. John was happy today. His dream had finally come true! A place where people could have fun with their family and friends. John’s wife walked up to him and kissed his cheek and then he and his small family walked around his new park. It was an amazing day indeed. “ Mr. Willey, How does it feel to now have your own park open and full of happy families?” A reporter asked John. He smiled, “ Great! I never expected this many people to be here. But my wife should have some of the credit too. I couldn't have done this without her." John said. His wife smiled and hugged him. " I have another question Mr. Willey." The reporter said. " What is it?" John questioned him. " What will you do if the park doesn't make it?" He asked John. John was confused. " What do you mean?" John asked him. " He means what will you do if your amusement park becomes boring for people." A guy with a business suit on and glasses said. John glared at him and gritted his teeth. " It won't." John said. The guy smirked. " What makes you so sure?" He questioned John. " I'll do whatever it takes. I'll make the tickets cheaper, I'll add more rides, I'll add more food stands-.." " But with what money?" The man questioned John cutting him off. "If you were to add more rides, which would cost thousands of dollars, how would you get more food stands? How would you pay your employees? Where would you get the money? You could get it from the bank, I know that, but you would be in debt. So let me ask you the question Mr. Willey, What will you do if the park does not make it?" The man questioned John. " I-I...." John didn't know what to say. His whole life he's been working hard so he could build this, but he never thought about the bad outcomes of this place. So, John went home with his wife to think about what the man said.
Johns wife, Laura, stared at her husband as she cooked. He was still upset about the man and hasn't said anything since. Laura sighed and put her apron down. " John, are you okay? If something is wrong, you can talk about it with me." She said rubbing his back. He glanced at her and then he sighed. " It's just,...Laura, what else is there to do if the park starts getting boring for people? I risked everything. There's barely any money left in our bank account. What if people stop coming Laura?" John said looking at Laura. Laura looked away not knowing what to say. Then their son came in and jumped on Johns lap. " Don't worry Papa! If you need money, just get more people! Like, you could ask other business guys to team up with you or something. Or mom could get a job." He said smiling at them. Their eyes widened and then John hugged his son. " Those are great ideas buddy! What do you think Laura?" John questioned his wife. She nodded and smiled. " I think that it is a good idea too." She said. John hugged her too and so the family tried to look for ways to make more money for themselves and the park. But, it didn't go as planned.
Days, Weeks, Months passed by and they had only gained very little progress. Soon, a horrible disease had started to spread throughout the town. Many people got infected and among those people, were Johns wife and son. John forgot all about the park focused on helping his family during this time, but, the doctors couldn't find a cure. And so, all of those people died including Johns wife and son. John was devastated. All he did for a couple of weeks was sit in his house and drink his sorrows away. Then he thought about the park that his wife helped him build and so, he continued their mission. John made the ticket prices extra cheap since he didn't have that many workers to pay. Eventually, John made enough money to buy a ferris wheel. It would light up at night and attract more people to the amusement park. John had done it, he had made the park more popular than it was months ago! He thought that nothing was going to stop him now. That is, until the business man from a couple of months ago came to Johns amusement park and told him that his park was outdated because another one opened up not to far out of town. John was furious. He hated that man and how he would come and ruin things for John. So, He decided that he should get rid of him.
It was currently night time and John was closing the park because he asked the business man to come over and talk. " You called Mr. Willey?" The man questioned. John gave a fake smile. " Yes, I have a question for you Mr...Oh wait, I never asked for your name did I?" John said. The man started to feel uncomfortable because John was acting nice to him, too nice. " It's William, William Smith. Now, what did you want to ask me?" William questioned John. John secretly pulled out a dagger behind him. " Do you like games?" John asked him. William frowned. " Is this some kind of joke?" William questioned him. John gave him a sinister smile. " Oh no, no, no sir. You see, I thought that you might be a little bored with life, so I decided to play a game with you." John said. William scoffed. " And what is that?" He questioned. " How many times you can get stabbed!" John yelled and then he immediately raise the dagger up high and brought it down on William. William's screams echoed through the night and he was never seen again. People had started to grow suspicious of John because some people would disappear in the park and they would either be found dead or not found at all. Years had started to pass and the killings died down, but they did not stop. On January 26, 1989, John Willey died of a heart attack in his office at his amusement park. People decided to bury him in his amusement park just for respect. Many rich people tried to buy the park and make it better but, just like a couple of year ago, they all either died or disappeared.
And that is how the story of John Willey’s amusement park began!
