Dedication

I heard the Grateful Dead on the radio the other day. Bob Weir was singing Me and Bobby McGee, and the song took me back to Pittsburgh 1990. Crosby, Stills and Nash opened for them at the concert. There wasn’t a single cloud in the sky and the entire day was, for lack of better words, perfect.

We shared so many great times together, but that particular day I think of often and I don’t know why. Perhaps it’s because I can relate to the song’s lyrics “and I’d trade all of my tomorrows for a single yesterday.”

I miss you. You always had that knack for telling a story and making me laugh. I thank you for that. Now, it’s my turn to tell a story; a different kind of story, and I dedicate it to you. Rest in peace, Mickey, my dear friend.
